    Maryport!!!

Not wishing to be left out, I looked up my nearest town, Agen, on Youtube. I was thrilled to find pages and pages of videos. Unfortunately, it appears that there are lots of people out there who can't spell 'again' e.g. 'Me and my mate Lisa mucking about agen'.

    The Dead - 2007

It did get very confusing with the "famous" and "not so famous" threads, I think it got to the stage near the end of the year when it was proposed that we should have had a third thread roughly titled "they're dead, but who the bloody hell were they?" I think the problem was that everyone had different ideas about who was sufficiently famous for the 'famous' thread, which caused rather a lot of ill-temperedness and bickering. I seem to remember that Iain's major crime was to post deaths in the wrong thread.

    Till Death Us Do Part

Wow, looks amazing! Dave and I were going have our vows renewed in Las Vegas. We'd chosen an 'Elvis' to do the honours. We'd booked, flights, hotel etc, then we discovered that I was pregnant so we had to cancel it all as I'd have been too far gone to fly. We've always said that we'll do it eventually and I really like the look of that gothic wedding, my avatar would thoroughly approve

    Room 101

We re-registered our car as we are not planning to return to the UK. A bureaucratic nightmare
  14. Slave to the Grave

    Room 101

Have pmed you his vital statistics.

    Room 101

So what sort of car is Nigel then? Nigel is a Fiat Tempra, the car that Jeremy Clarkson once described as being like driving a sofa. He has very bad suspension and most children vomit copiously within about 10 minutes of being driven around. He was a special model made for the British market (he's a right hand drive) and has a bigger engine than normal thus parts are rather dear.
  16. Slave to the Grave

    Room 101

I'd like to put my car, Nigel, into room 101. He is ugly and old. He has a large engine without any of the benefits of having a large engine ie sportiness and speed. He is exceptionally expensive to repair allegedly because he is old and not very common. I have just returned from the garage where I was informed that because of his oldness and his large engine half a new exhaust will cost 380euros plus labour plus VAT

    DeathList "Dead" Chat!

Yes, it is really sombre, not quite as bad as the George Melly forum mind. Very hard to follow when it's busy on account of everyone being the same colour and no extra rooms for Starcrossed to hide in.

    Jacques Brel's Imitation Jelly Jewellery

According the Paris Match, 'The attraction of Britain was the pubs, the football, the rock music, the culture, the literature, the galleries, the exhibitions and the architecture'. He appears to be under the impression that "there are no policemen on the streets of London because people are more civilised and more fraternal than in Paris". I do agree with VT as a fellow RFM (and sometimes Europe 2) listener, that there is nothing wrong with the French music scene, in fact, the ttGs are currently considering going to see Renaud in Agen in a few weeks time. Also quite keen on Kyo amongst others.

    Are You Being Served?

BBC link. I'm sure there's an 'Are you being served' thread somewhere if a helpful mod could perform a merge.

    Ernest Gallo

Reislings are much maligned, it is the whitest of the white grapes and the latest crops of Reislings are quite good. ...but Rheingau Riesling is delicious! Yes, I know. Delicious wine is off-topic! As can be Alsace Reisling.
