    The Osmonds

It seems that the over-enamelled ones are not all in the best of health: Alan (54) suffers from M.S. Wayne (51) has been fighting a brain tumour Merrill (50)is diabetic Donny (45) has panic attacks Little Jimmy (41) is as always, a bit of a fatty. There are also reports of an undisclosed Osmond contemplating suicide. May be worth watching (though, of course not listening to if at all possible).

    Banksy

Secretive 'Guerilla' artist Banksy has been dicing with death, decorating Israel's controversial West Bank barrier with satirical images. His spokeswomen said 'The Israeli forces did shoot into the air threateningly and there were quite a few guns pointed on him'. What will the daft artist do next?
  3. Slave to the Grave

    Meat Loaf

Meatloaf has to be a serious contender for the deathlist sooner rather than later because: *He is fat *He is diabetic *He professes to know secrets relating to the assassination of JFK (through his Policeman father): He confides, "It definitely wasn't Lee Harvey Oswald - and that's not my theory, I just know things. But I can't say anymore. I've been threatened, so I've got to keep very quiet. I didn't see the assassination, but I was at the hospital when he (JFK) got there." *He allegedly has a large collection of teddy bears which he claims can come to life. He is however, only 58/53 depending on who you believe and a strict vegetarian. Is this enough to save him?

    Hamed Karzai

Hamid Karzai has just been sworn in as the new Afghan president. He's promised to crack down on what remains of the Taleban and the opium boom in Afghanistan. He's already survived one assassination attempt. Actually getting to 2005 could be a challenge.
  5. Slave to the Grave

    Billy Joel

Billy Joel is looking pretty bad these days. He has just checked into rehab for alcohol abuse having suffered a bout of severe gastro intestinal distress. This is not his first rehab session, the last was in 2002. He has managed 3 car accidents in the last 2 years and has recently married a 23 year old, no doubt putting additional strain on his poor old ticker. A strong younger candidate for 2006 I think. There is a picture of him looking pretty rough here.
  6. Slave to the Grave

    Stuart Hall

Stuart Hall is 75 and a dedicated smoker who has been bemoaning smoking bans in football stadia. He claims to be able to keep up with his 38 year old son when they play football. How long can this hyperactive septegenarian smoker carry on?

    The Osmonds

Fine thank you LFN, very kind of you to ask!! Apparently JImmy's portrayal of Captain Hook was both dastardly and heartwarming!!!!

According to 12 Disgusting Celebrity Habits You Probably Don't Know About, Donny likes to lick the salt off pretzels.

    Viktor Yushchenko

Check this chap out, looks a bit peaky. Not sure he passes the famousness test - yet but perhaps he's worth watching. If the pic doesn't work, try: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/default.stm

    DeathList "Dead" Chat!

Good old GR. I enjoyed chatting last night - couldn't carry on on MSN but for some reason by computer doesn't like it - maybe it's a bit too old!!!

    Ask A Deathlister

Are you sure it's passive febreeze fumes you're breathing in? Maybe your neighbour has a bowlfull of pears and went on a holiday forgetting all about them. Hehe, it does smell that way, but it ain't pears. I'm not allergic to pears, but I am sensitive to certain accessories of modern post-industrial revolution life, like Febreeze, Tide, certain perfumes, hairspray, bug spray, scented candles, etc. The usual stuff (pollen, dust, mold, cat and dog fur, etc.) doesn't seem to bother me at all. I have discovered some Febreze which is called "cascades de Nouvelle Zealande", it doesn't smell like rotten pears and it covers up the smell of sick. I don't know whether it smells like "cascades de Nouvelle Zealande" because I've never been to Nouvelle Zealande.

    Room 101

I just popped back to have a grumble about the supermarket butchers department. There was a rogue leg of mutton in with the lamb and I bought it. It had the texture and shape of a boxing glove.

    Derby Dead Pool 2010

Bravo MIB for such efficient posting up of the teams. The fact that I have such a large number of unique picks doesn't surprise me in the least as most of them will probably still be alive in 30 years' time.

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries, Etc... For 2010

Thank you, HCW. I've had a stellar birthday so far. At my age you have something from within that only lasts for a little while. Happy belated Banshees What to expect now you are 6. Of particular interest: Motor Development •may still be somewhat uncoordinated and gawky •able to learn to ride a bicycle •can move in time with music or a beat Language & Thinking Development •moving toward abstract thinking •develops reasoning skills •shifts from learning through observation and experience to learning via language and logic •wants it all; has difficulty making choices Social & Emotional Development •grows more independent, yet feels less secure •craves affection from parents and teachers •friendships are unstable; can be unkind to peers •needs to win and may change rules to suit herself •may be hurt by criticism, blame, or punishment •can be rigid, demanding, and unable to adapt •increasingly aware that others have or may have different feelings

    The First Death Of 2010

Frank Bough, because my Grandad hated him. He used to throw a knotted handkerchief at the TV and shout 'Off Bough' whenever he was on. I think that should be the headline when he finally shuffles - 'Off Bough''. Sadly my Grandad didn't live to witness the sex scandal or to see him die. Also when DttG was a youngster a 'bough' was the passage of windies through the bottie parts. So Frank Bough and his sex sandals for me.

I haven't had confirmation for my dragged together at the last minute team either, carefully assembled whilst cooking dinner and playing Raving Rabbids with the children.

    Nederlandse Dead Pool

Live dangerously, RA. Try it my way. Throwing darts at a list on the wall is a good way to a) release some aggression, improve your hand to eye coordination, and c) not get a single hit in the coming year. Getting the dog to pick chocolate buttons with initials carved on them from a hat always worked for me. Rodney the lurcher was best at it because he had a very long snout. Is 'snout' a decent way to say 'penis'? Maybe it should be:
