    Conservatives + Reform = 11, 253

Simplistic, but Tories would have won by 77 votes. That will be a discussion point.

Yeah,  but - John Curtice was discussing that this morning, a recent poll suggested if there were no Reform candidate over 30% of those voting Reform wouldn't vote Conservative (either UKIP, though they're practically irrelevent now, or wouldn't vote at all). That stat would be enough to nix the hypothetical 77 vote win.

Stable in  hospital, though frankly he's looked like a sleepless zombie for weeks so it's no surprise - through crocodile tears Palace are wishing him well. Frankly a bad day for almost everyone concerned: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68303964

  3. So, more likely rarity value - a selfie with a shiny new King Charles III postbox. No shit, I was having a coffee on the seafront at Ramsgate and saw people queuing for a selfie, went out to see what the fuss was about and the other thing in said selfies was a genuine Edward VIII postbox, obviously there from the 1930s and ultra-rare, apparently.

  4. Dunno where else to post this.

So, I can't be the only one hereabouts who reads the odd crime or court report and thinks hard about what was going on that isn't reported. This one, however, has me stumped. So, a guy mixes his own sperm with that of his dad, the purpose being to get the young 'uns partner pregnant. This happens in Barnsley so my prejudice is thinking we're not dealing with debonair criminal masterminds here but despite creating a "welfare minefield" they actually got the child they were trying to create and - legally speaking - nobody's gonna land anything on them. All three (incl. the mum) were complIant in this. I'm just wondering how many of the three were in the room together at each stage (jizzing, mixing jizz, implanting). I think we should be told, because imagining is worse!

Yeah, wall to wall marching music

Or maybe - Dear Vlad, please play a song for me and my dildo which has been my constant companion since my husband Sergai got burned to a crisp when the Ukranian army torched his tank!

I stopped listening to Radio 1 when Chris Evans took over the breakfast show so I had no idea what Scott Mills was like there apart from the occasional Top 40 countdown. He has settled into R2 quite naturally.

I suspect the people who push these how awful BBC is stories are the usual suspects who hate the whole concept of the BBC. It seems a little tasteless to use a celebrities death to promote their narrow little world view

Specifically the usual non-dom billionaire suspects who abhor the whole notion of public service broadcasting and use the British newspapers they own to make that point.

Didn't notice the Guardian going apeshit over the Beeb's treatment of Steve Wright

For you young 'uns out there - trust me, politics was never this much fun under Bush the elder and John Major

Just checking out the other possibles now Labour have massively shat their own pants - Ravin Rodent Subortna is your Monster Raving Looney candidate up there. Makes you wonder. If George Galloway beats a self-declared looney is there any point in satire?

    From the party's website:

As an MP he would campaign for the introduction of a 99p coin to save on change

He said he would call for all roundabouts to have fairground carousels in the middle to tell cars where to go and prevent road rage.

Among his other policies is a plan for all new-build housing to have hedgehog homes included to help eradicate homelessness for hedgehogs, and making sure hedgehogs had lollipop signs to help them cross the road.

Ravin says he is aiming to win “zero votes” because “that would be fair to give everybody else a chance”.

I have a very bad feeling that it may not have been a natural death so to speak. I hope I'm wrong but a friend of mine who knew of Steve told me a good few years ago of his long battle with depression, which doesn't mean anything of course but it was the wording of the article that stated that paramedics were called to 'an incident' where they found him dead at home after sending numerous 'resources' out. I hope for his sake that it wasn't and was as peaceful as possible as he was a legendary and innovative broadcaster. Apparently a really nice person in real life too, RIP Steve :(

The ever-right Sun are reporting broken heart following a "BBC axe" clearly the coroner will concur completely, or summat.

Second time this season - we thumped them 0-8 at home in the League Cup earlier in the season! He's not in any danger though, Harrogate in League 1 would be astonishing.

Harrogate - six months - into League One might be the only thing that could dislodge him from the dugout!

Never listened to him. I can't stand that type of programme where the DJ is a self-styled "character" with lots of tedious gimmicks taking precedence over the music.

My ideal show is just music, no talking except to tell us briefly the artist and title of the track we've just heard.

Aye, me too as a rule, but I liked Ask Elvis:

Just a guess - like Nicola Bulley there'll be a fuck-tonne of rumours, online ranting and "evidence" supporting the lot, then a while later, a very unfetching munched and bloated body will be hauled from the river and DNA will prove plod right?
