So many said I'm Spartacus. We've lost track of the original and now we're two generations behind...

I think most, if not all, will be available for 2020's list

RIP Clive Dunn
I suspect like many I only found the Death List originally when, after a boozy discussion in the pub on a Saturday night, I got up bleary eyed on Sunday morning and with a thumping headache googled 'Clive Dunn Dead?' This led me to Death List where I not only discovered he was alive but also all the other many various posts and predictions. Sadly anyone googling the same now will discover different news on his health.
I've read the call for a tribute of some kind which I agree with but I wouldn't drop the list number from 50 I would choose one of these options:-
Option A - The number 50 on the list is renamed 'The Clive Dunn Spot' and goes to the current perennial favourite - (Brucie would be my current choice of someone who seems to have been old forever and yet still appears super fit). The List then sticks with that person as their favourite until they die.
Option B - the number 50 is listed and left blank with the phrase 'In Honour of Clive Dunn' with a link to this thread forever. The 50th name for the year appears as number 51 on list. [Although this will then give a special status to the number 51 pick too??]
Prefer Option A
Whatever it needs to be something - the man was a death list legend.
Hope all fellow posters are well and that all remaining Death List candidates are seriously ill!!
Thiis.
The only other alternative is to stop the Deathlist, so the two of them are always together in memory....

Very sad to lose a comedienne of her calibre.
Sykes and Diller gone. Which great comedy talent will be next?
Gervais with a bit of luck...
Lol we can only hope he'll bite it soon but I wouldn't mark him in the dead comedic talent column when he does.
Hah! Not sure how you can get "Gervais" "Comedy" and "Talent" in the same sentence though...

Ideas for 2012? I can give 45 names NOT to put on the list

Out of interest, how come Salinger gets a picture from when he was famous, but poor Michael gets a photo from just after he died?
-
If Niemeyer was included in the list been aged 102, why don't you guys include Walter Breuning in the same as he is just 113?Because, dear sir/madam, to add some spice, this year's list has been created only with people who are expected to live for at least another 5 years.
Between 3 and 13 deaths is mediocre. 1 is a record, of sorts....

I can't see Al Alberts mentioned anywhere on the forums, but he died

I wonder if they'll let Charles attend the funeral.Looks like she wasn't putting it on after all...
Aren't they supposed to have a UK report for DL qualification?

The world is made up of people who have different opinions to yourself - that does not make them wrong, just different.
The sooner the world realises this, the better it will be.

Where's the "None of the Above" choice?
-
"Despite her age, she is still in excellent health, still exercising and taking care of herself. She credits joining the Nation of Islam for her longevity"
Another Deathlist 2007 winning pick then.....
-
Maybe this year's list should be renamed to "the kiss of life" as nominees are recovering from normally-terminal diseases!
I bet they look on here, see their name and shout "YES! I'm gonna see 2008 !!"
-
nowhere near famous enough. betelguese or the sun yes, sn2006gy no.It got press coverage on the BBC, and it's bigger than any star on the list! (and more likely to die this year)
-
Can't believe this is not on the list. It's been on it's way out for a couple of thousand years now. Surely an obvious candidate for this year's list?
-
Timing eh?Damn good publicity for The Riddle - forthcoming movie in which he appears alongside Vinnie Jones, Vanessa Redgrave and ermm, Mel Smith.
Welll at least we have Ernest Borgnine on the list.
When was Gareth's cancer diagnosed? Should he not have been on the list?
-
(Your not allowed to say any already dead people)Although I do think Magnusson was careless.
Eh? What chance does that give me then?!?! If I pick anyone who's not dead, you'll just say "Ah, see!? They haven't died either!" and if I pick dead people you'll say "Cheat! Only cos you know they're dead!"
