Why not replace him with the bird from Wild About Britain. You know, the one that Bill Oddie always talks over and clearly resents having to share his show with. Or get Ben Fogle, if he hasn't got his head up a giraffe.

For a minute there I thought you were having a conversation with yourself, until I saw DWB's annotation!

I'm afraid so. There was some quality but far too much purile quality. A good point though, safe to re-open this poll now.

Surprisingly, Doohan isn't even Scottish. http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/seri...cast/69073.html He's a randy old bugger too, he and his wife spent some more time in the Jeffries tube and had another kid in April 2000, making him a Dad again at 80. His wife is 43. Doohan Trivia: http://www.classicscifi.com/actors.php?actor=James+Doohan Most noteable points: - He is missing the middle finger of his right hand. - According to the Director's Edition DVD of Star Trek the Motion Picture, the Klingon language first introduced in that movie and later featured in many later Trek movies and TV episodes, was initially devised by Doohan. His original sounds were later expanded upon and refined by others, ultimately resulting in Shakespeare plays and The Bible being translated into Klingon years later. One to beam up?

What they're saying... "Marlon would hate the idea of people chiming in to give their comments about his death. All I'll say is that it makes me sad he's gone." Francis Ford Coppola, director of "The Godfather" "America has lost its leading film star. He was the best. As far as I'm concerned, he was also a very good friend. The world will miss him." James Garner, friend/actor "I will miss him beyond belief." Elizabeth Taylor "I feel a certain sadness at the loss of one of America's greatest actors. It is said no price too high does an original bear, and Marlon Brando was a quintessential original." Robert Evans, head of Paramount Pictures during production of "The Godfather" "I always found him very quiet. He was not someone I ever got close to. Mean, moody and magnificent - that comes to mind." Max Clifford, publicist who worked for Brando in the 1980s "With the passing of Marlon Brando, America has lost a great actor of the stage and screen. His award-winning performances in films such as 'On the Waterfront' and 'The Godfather' demonstrated his outstanding talent and entertained millions across the country. Marlon Brando was one of the 20th-century's finest actors and will be missed." President Bush "Damnit - I've just heard Marlon's finally gone! I'll gonna have admit that thats the worse miss of the year for DL 2004" Grim Reaper, Deathlist 2004 - The Associated Press

You're not wrong.

Who did he sign it as?

Reaper Sorry! but who is DBW? Are you courting a new moderator or something? Either that or you might be buying a new car?

Hey bigswifty, nobody is taking that away from you man. We have a house rule of merging topics, when somebody posts about something we already have a thread for, otherwise things just out of control. We think it makes for more interesting reading - keeping things in context - and ultimately stops clutter. Well done on your post. I can assure you, nobody is trying to get one over on you or anything. If we wanted to do that, we could just delete your post - right?

And there was me thinking I was going to get in first!

Sadly, I think there is more chance of the poor Iraqi judge the Americans have got trying Saddam, being killed in the near future.

Thanks for those photos - I'm going to be busy this weekend...

Nope, these will be the real deal, if I understand Mr Reaper's plans correctly. Not the ones on the current shop. As for whether or not you can wash them in the dishwasher, I am sure I saw something or read somewhere that somebody was doing just that and that it did work.

I too remember the Sky One rehash of SOTC too. Night Nurse can do strange things you know...
-
Let's just say I've got some strange fantasies...

What a fantastic phrase though: crack&smack I can see it now in that French Connection typeface...

I can firmly attest to the fact that Deathlist mugs do die a painfully slow death via the dishwasher - especially when you've had the builders in every day for 9 months. But the kudos of owning one must still make them a tempting prize. I think there are some plans for some pukka DL t-shirt prizes...

Thought I'd share this email with you - no doubt it will hit your inbox sooner or later... Good News - Saddam Hussein is facing the death penalty Bad News - David Beckham is taking it!

Well, if its of any comfort to you (and recovering reality television forum members in general), Rachel Stevens is looking very hot in todays Guardian, bending over for the dance show in which she featured, at the Olympic Light parade. I think she is the one in the middle. I'm sure Rod, the owner of a pair of carefully trained eyes, would of homed in on the action.

Cheers for that. Updated. I thought it was the old Princess Alice problem again Feel free to PM me if you find any more.
