The World of the Snowflake
Winfield replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I couldn't agree more - it's a children's fantasy story, FFS. As for Brooker's comment, I've never heard him complain about the title of "The Last Leg" (which he appears on all the time) when the main host has a foot disability... Hmm, double standards? -
Strawberry Fields Forever?

This is getting out of hand now... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nme.com/news/music/one-little-indian-change-name-to-one-little-independent-records-to-help-fight-racism-2685507%3famp Not to mention bands changing their name (their old names didn't seem to cause any problems with their popularity beforehand though)... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-53180585 This (supposed) "woke" nonsense needs to stop! -

Nah - it's more "finders keepers, losers weepers"!

Nipped into a local supermarket yesterday to pick up a couple of items for dinner, and went to the self-service checkout to pay for them... ...it turned out that the previous customer (now long gone) had forgotten to pick up all of their change (£5), which paid for my items as well as leaving me with some change for my paper this morning!

I also thought they were alike when we saw Ruffalo on Norton's show

Clue - their most famous song was an absolute peach...

OK - so, a "speedy" song from the mid-90's by an American rock trio...

We went to see 1917 last night - a very good film, the majority of which seemed to have been filmed in one long take (but had apparently been edited to appear as such).

I haven't seen Episode 9 yet (and, due to how well I personally rate episodes 7 and 8, will probably be unlikely to until it appears on terrestrial television) but my vote was for The Empire Strikes Back, with the original Star Wars as a close second. Return Of The Jedi was OK, but not in the same league as the original two... The prequel films weren't a patch on the originals from the late 70's - early 80's... Rogue One, however, I thought was decent. As for the dire Solo film, though - that was around 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again...
