And women weren't allowed to go to funerals until the 1940s. I only stay for the men in leather

Wasn't sure where to put this. I dreamt that Nicholas Parsons was diagnosed with terminal cancer the other night. -

According to his autobiography he is in complete remission. I'd be more concerned about those close to him, Madeline Kahn, Gilda Radner and Richard Prior have all died young.

Where Has Tempus, Godot, Everybody, Anybody Gone?

I normally avoid this bloody programme like the plague, but, last night I had an awakening of sorts. Waiting for 'Bring Back the A -Team', I caught the last 5 minutes of BB- a delectable, obviously demure young blonde dressed in a pink bunny suit that clearly showed she 'ad an 'arris to die for, entering the house. Very nice. I then voiced the opinion to Mrs BHB that perhaps we should give BB a go this year, just for a laugh, at which point she gave me a dead leg and called me a perv. Doesn't miss a trick, does Mrs BHB. That bird in the pink bunny suit- please tell me that's not Tempus. BHB. I'm starting to think you and my other half are separated at birth spiritual broters. He and I have had many conversations similar to that of you and your Mrs. As for Tempest, I think he'll be back if Peter Sallis dies -

I must confess I feel slightly responsible for the rise of the Chuckle Brothers. When I was about 6 we went to Rhyl and the then unknown Chuckle Brothers were playing at the local theatre. They were dreadful even to a six year old. There were only about 12 people in the whole of the audience and this pensioner kept laughing not at them at her friend. She had an infectious laugh and soon we were all laughing loudly with the result the Chuckle Brothers actually thought they were funny and continued to work. I'm so sorry people.

Sticking with authors how about this lady? I met her about 15 years ago and she looked frail then. I'm fairly certain she'd get one UK obit at least http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Forrester

With all the discussion of what has happened to certain absent members I thought it migt be a good idea to let people here know when we're going away for whatever reason. I'll be absent from the forum between 22nd May and 4th June [Merged with previous Holiday Thread - ff]
