Did Berniece Baker Miracle (wiki), Marilyn Monroe's half-sister die off radar?

Yes, in 2014 (aged 94–95). Photo there of her grave "Berniece Miracle" with her husband's (Paris Miracle). Other sites online mention her husband by name and its an exact match. Residency sites like Spokeo and Clustrmaps also have no record of her residence beyond the mid-2010s, where she was last recording as living in North Carolina (which neighbours Kentucky) so that too would back up the FindAGrave page, even though the picture itself is strong enough evidence in itself IMO.

Oh dear. Just shows why you shouldn't trust clickbait "news" sites like this, which claim she's still alive without first hand confirmation.

Bad news for @John Key who has her in the Centenarian Deadpool this year, and to anyone who may have picked her on the DDP.

Bugger. She was in my Generation Dead Pool, as was Klaus Rainer Rohl who i have just seen died in November without a UK obit. Oh well

I have a dream a few years ago Jamie Lynn spears died and it was all over the news. Murdered by Britney maybe? They're feuding.

With all the footballers collapsing recently I wonder if one will die? Arguero would've been a massive unlikely death so would've Christian eriksen.

We always seem to lose a big UK comedian every year. Sean lock, Caroline aherne , Sean Hughes etc. I'd say those not ITK Sean locks death was unlikely, but Caroline's was expected sadly.

Peter Kay or Johnny Vegas maybe?

Well known YouTubers are more popular and we'll known than alot of celebs nowadays and we always lose handful every year , could lose an unlikely one this year.

    Good thread btw.

There has been a lot of speculation about Peter Kay's health so I don't think it would be a huge surprise. I don't think Johnny  Vegas death would be a massive shock either.

Sarah Millican has always struck me as someone who won't make old bonds so maybe her. That could just be wishful thinking on my part though.

Sorry about that, but it goes both ways. I checked back a few years and was surprised he doesn't appear to have ever been picked, then like buses, two at once.

We have deprived each other of a unique for Sarah Lawson. Sorry.

  6. I dreamt that my eyes had shrunk to the size of apple pips and the only way to cure it was to get a face transplant. I was told I was very lucky because a famous person had just donated their face for me. I awoke from the operation to discover I had been given the face of Jeannette Krankie!

I submitted three teams:  1 is doomed to end with Nil points:  "Poets Passing"   all poets but so many Americans who will not get a Brit Obit

No. 2 is Bangers and Mash.  It's secret theme is people who are unlikely to be virgins.

No. 3 is Diet of Worms, a little dip into fantasy land and some very aged venison and pheasant.  I used that Team name years ago and hope that nobody else has taken it up....

Seriously, I created these teams to amuse myself and not to win and I wonder if that creates too much work for the DDP Team?  I would like to know if these types of teams feel like frivolous lawsuits to you?

I enter partly to amuse myself and to see how many names I can collect for a particular category and partly out of superstition.  I have entered 3 theme teams this year, 2 are ones I am bringing back and one is a new one.

    Another big last minute faller.

Telegraph breaking the news of the death of model, actress and author April Ashley MBE (wiki), aged 86.

The second Britain ever to have gender reassignment surgery in 1960 (which subsequently led to her marriage being annulled in the Corbett v. Corbett case of 1969).

A pick for two teams in the DDP.

The joker pick for my Scouse theme team. I think she was in my shadow list last year and would have been again next year, typically she was not this year.

Yes Handy, just at the height of his fame in Serbia, Mr Challis carks it!

Norman Wisdom was a superstar in Albania , his were the only kind of Western film that Enver Hoxha allowed.

Would be interesting to know if any Brits actually host TV shows abroad, guests on shows, act on TV progs in the local language.

PS: I had no idea Jeffery Holland was such a star out in Hungary! Is that to do with Hi De Hi?

More for 'You Rang M'Lord ' I think.

You know that Italian Gino D'Acampo fella who is now on every TV programme going?

Well, just wondering if there are any British people who are TV celebrities in other non English speaking countries?

A lot of 80s British sitcom stars are huge in Eastern Europe. John Challis  was very popular in Serbia and Jeffery Holland is huge in Hungary.  I can't think of anyone who is unknown in the UK who is famous elsewhere apart from Becki Cruell  who is huge in Japan, but YouTube 'stars' don't count really.

    Oh come on Handy!!!!

Don't leave it there, tell all!  :D

There isn't much to tell. December 92 I am on a little holiday on the QE2 with my dad, and Ann and Nick are filming their Xmas special. They film various people saying Merry Christmas to the camera including me and dad and then an overhead shot of everyone on board together waving at the camera saying Happy Christmas. We all sit down to watch Xmas morning but they have cut out all the individual bits and just show the overhead. I am near the front so you can just about see me, but yeah, I was cut out so we watched it for nothing.
