When I was about 17 (32 yrs ago), a friend of mine whom I worked with called me "Weasel" saying I tried to "weasel" my way out of work. I seemed to never be around when the boss came in and gave the daily assignments, and honestly, I wasn't avoiding him. That was just a coincidence..........really, I am not kidding! So everyone started calling me "The Weasel" after that!

    Paul Harvey - Commentator

Hey football fan, don't forget, "Goooood Day!" He sure comes up with some interesting stories. I have heard him since I was small (many years ago). Other people here should search for him on internet.

    World War I Veteran(s)

Thought you were writing in German there for a minute...LOL...I knew an old man who was in WWI back in the 80's. His name was Ralph Barnhardt and he went to my church. He never said much about it, and he was very old then. We have a VA hospital near where I live and I really should go there and visit the vets more often. I never served in the military but have tremendous respect for those who did. I met a German soldier who served under Rommel several years ago. He came here with a missionary. He spoke no English but the missionary interpreted. The old soldier said that Rommel was a good man and was killed by Hitler (which I already knew but was interesting to hear it from one who was there. He has died since then. See ya.

    World War I Veteran(s)

Thanks Bill, it also shows those who died each year from 2000 to now. Appropriate for Veteran's Day I think!

    World War I Veteran(s)

Geeeez! Never thought when I started this thread back in April it would still be going in November....cool! Evidently, a lot of people out there interested in WWI vets still living. Anybody else like the movie "All Quiet on the Western Front"? (The original movie, not the recent one). If you haven't seen it, you should!

Active enlisting of help from deathlist nominees

Unsporting? Yes, that is true. You just have to believe the summer months might claim their share of the list. Granted it is kinda slow considering 25% of the year is gone now and only, what, 8% have checked out? Kind of like a basketball game where a team trails by 20 points at the half and comes on strong to win at the end. Time takes care of everything.

    Mark Felt

Yes, Rita, Linda Lovelace kicked the bucket a few years ago I think (really too lazy to look this up but seem to remember it). Great talent she had Deep Throat talked about here was a Watergate informer (political). Politics is much more boring than the movie Deep Throat I am sure of that!

    Pope John Paul

Man! Typhoid Harry, I got that song, "Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer came down.....on her head.......bang, bang Maxwell's silver hammer made sure....she was dead!" That was a cool song, kinda unusual for the Beatles (I could understand if it was by the Stones)... ...anyway, Pope might be getting ready to check out of the Vatican Hotel? Later!....."Oh, oh, oh" (that from Maxwell's Silver Hammer song too!)
