The leash has been tightened IPwise, yes.

Bang on the money. Our Belgian "friend" yet again.

Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts cancelled due to a medical emergency involving Gary Rossington - http://ultimateclassicrock.com/gary-rossington-medical-emergency-2017/

Gotten repeat coverage from Guardian and Mail ever since the original "Liz Gilbert left her hubby because her gal pal is terminally ill which made her realize she loved her" headline - which was always a story you know the media will revisit when the inevitable happens. Obit a shoo-in w/o a doubt.

My mind goes "how the fuck has she made November, maybe she can see the new year after all?" A thought, mind, that cropped up re Holly Woodlawn, Ray Price, Piers Sellers, etc...

It would put into perspective that no member can outenigma the mystical Banshees Scream.

Form Guide #13 DJ Casper He who gave the world the Cha Cha Slide. Despite having the feel of a random completely healthy person brought into the convo as a red herring, rest assured Mr. C the Slide Man is the real deal with his ailments. Diagnosed with two advanced cancers in early 2016 and no updates since summer of that year, his current health status is an enigma but on statistics alone will likely assume his namesake's status before the decade is up. Will it be to the south now y'all for him this December?

Sometimes thought of making a "Peter Sallis was a fan of one, IIRC" joke whenever the topic of "not mentioned on forum but everyone knows about them" names came up.

That's crazy, Willz... condolences.

Should see 2018 easily. Beyond that is a trickier guess. Probably will be one of the most important calls to make next year.

Getting Foray on without even advocating for it in thread will be an untoppable CSDL feat for me. I'll probs leave the form guides to others and submit a list in the final week as usual.

Probably suffering from that old black magic...

The article has since updated retracting the original story. It turns out the deceased Marcie Blane was actually a homeless woman who claimed to be the "Bobby's Girl" singer (in the vein of false death reports for "Itsy Bitsy......Bikini" songwriter Paul Vance or baseballer Bill Henry), whereas the actual one remains alive and well.

It's reminiscent of Scott Thorson. A cancer bullshitter but such a train wreck that being alive in two decades' time seems optimistic.

Deathrace Form Guide #33 Morgan Tsvangirai One of the highest-profile nemeses of #30, cancer-stricken Tsvangirai in recent months has nonetheless been keen on taking a page or two from the Mugabe playbook - namely taking out-of-country trips under the guise of "routine check ups". Beating Mugabe in the polls ain't happening, but can Tsvangirai beat him to the grave?

A Phillips relapse gamble is of course the most obvious Mackenzie pick.

Ah... in a wheelchair and still looks out of it. Poor lady.

Deathrace Form Guide #27 Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman Religious figure. Over 100. A mouthful of a name. In hospital many times in recent years, but shows such a tenacious grip on life that one wonders if he'll outlast the cockroaches. Is he the Jewish alter ego of Sri Sri Sri Shesellsseashellsbytheseashore?

I benefited well from the swaps with 3 in dead, 0 out dead. Some of my original picks were made for a pool with a transfer period, like Anna "dies January or decades from now" Holmlund.

If Bobby Zarin sees 2018 I'm committing to the "Bobby Zarin's Mack the Knifed" B team. Ted Mack living isn't even 100% necessary - surely in the worst case scenario I can find some old obitworthy guy with "Mack" in the name?
-
I threw her on the transfer squad for Shaun's Death by Numbers, IIRC by then she had already gotten news that made 2018 wishful thinking.

Dead.

Dennis Banks, Native American activist and co-founder of the American Indian Movement, has died aged 80 - http://www.startribune.com/obituary-longtime-american-indian-activist-dennis-banks/454089543/#1 Was on my longlist as he'd been in hospital for the past month or so. Seemed to be slowly on the mend after open heart surgery but turns out he took a very sudden downturn in the past few days.

The former, yup...
