Two songs from a US rock artist, now no longer with us. 1989 and 1991. Titles clue: the first may be the unfortunate consequence of the second.

A bold post indeed.

I'm not getting that from the article. He says she can't be left alone any longer, presumably in case she does something daft or dangerous. So now they have carers in so he can get some rest and a break instead of spending every waking hour with her. Nothing about nursing care. I'd guess it's more like child-minding.

Is that his real name, or did he decide to call himself after a shade of face powder?
-
The Skids, Into The Valley Coincidentally I saw them on Friday night and was shouting out "Albert Tatlock!" along with everyone else Awesome gig.

Hi Stephen! Your granddad looks great. Hope he gets his ton and stays in good health.

I think you've got some of the numbers wrong. I don''t know these, but just going on the clues for the song titles House Of Cards? Make It Stop?

Good point. But as for the surrogate theory - why would they do that?

Excellent dinner and banging gig. Much to my astonishment the drummer came over at the end and presented me with the drumsticks. I didn't though. -
I want to say Alanis Morissette (sp?) Jagged Little Pill, but it doesn't quite seem to fit.

Going for a Burns Night supper tonight, then seeing the Skids. Och aye. -
Correct! Banging tune.
-
Yes, and as I said it was one of three UK hits for the artist.
-
And that was a cover version of a Motown hit. This was an original song on the Motown label.
-
No, it's not a Spector production. Think song titles.
-
Had two other UK hits.
-
In the meantime .... This haunting 70s Motown hit was written and performed by a white artist.
-
Well, that went well.
