Marks & Spencer food sales slide over Christmas I'm not a fan of M&S but they do have some nice food items. However I rarely go into their shops, and as they don't do normal grocery deliveries they don't show food on their website, apart from special orders. So I can't browse at home and think "Aha, that looks nice, I'll go in and get some." For instance, last Christmas somebody gave me a M&S rogan josh curry kit which was excellent. If I'd been able to see what other styles were on offer, I'd have gone in and bought some more. But I couldn't, and then forgot about it. If they showed their full range online they might tempt more people in.

Safety net, yes exactly. I just mentioned on another thread that when I started playing the DDP you were only allowed ONE team. (Theme teams were introduced later.) So you had to consider your choices very carefully.

Or people in general could stop taking it all so seriously? It's just a bit of fun, after all. Well .... when I started playing the DDP, you were only allowed ONE team. Total. No theme teams. Obviously that rule wouldn't have been difficult to get around, but I think people did generally stick to one team. Having only one shot concentrated one's efforts most effectively.

This sort of thing would be unlikely to happen if the rule reverted to one main team only, plus theme teams. Just saying.

Yes, I am very sorry that she has gone. I don't remember cancer being mentioned, just that she was in hospital being treated for an infection. So a miss for me as well.

Doesn't mean there was no affair though. From what I remember, it was strongly rumoured at the time. Not that that proves anything either.

IMO that has always been a major flaw in the DDP. It would be fair to allow at least a week for obits to come in for late December deaths.
