Nothing official yet, but various tweets from co-workers are saying that Marcia Wallace, voice of Mrs Krabappel and veteran of The Bob Newhart Show, has died aged 70.

News reports today say he has between 2 to 5 years to live. Joost van der Westhuizen says that he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him anymore, following recent speculation about his private life. The next day, his estranged wife alleged that he has been having an affair with his neurologist. Two years after his diagnosis, and Joost's condition has apparently "deteriorated considerably". Latest from Joost: "I'm on my deathbed and every day could be my last". "Now the 42-year-old is confined to a wheelchair, struggles with his speech and barely has the strength to hold a sandwich or lift a drink." So not out of it just yet, but one for next year at both DL and DDP level... Now Joost is claiming an unregistered quack has cured him.

I suppose he went "Fuck it all" after his boyfriend stopped being Pope With the release of the new movie about him and Liberace, Thorson's been whoring himself out for more publicity, including claiming his cancer is now "stage 3 colon cancer", coupled with various addictions. He's been bailed out by the upstanding citizen that is Dennis Hof, who is paying for his treatment, but is seemingly headed back to prison after pleading guilty to the credit card fraud. So, maybe not a total write off pick after all... ...and now it's "anal cancer" again and it's "in remission". Or something. What is clear is that he really, really likes drugs but if he takes them again he's off to jail for violating his probation.

Speculation that he has recently suffered both a stroke and a heart attack. The former, if true, would tie in with the memory loss reports. One to watch...

New update in which he says he "was" given three months to live, the cancer spread to his liver, colon and lungs, but is apparently now "on the road to recovery".

Update on Sam Simon. The gist: he's fighting, and has surpassed the initial 6 month diagnosis, but he knows he isn't going to be around for all that much longer and so is giving away all his money.

Said actor is Paul Bhattacharjee. And he's been found, at the bottom of a cliff. IMDb lists some pretty notable shows and films, including Casino Royale.

For what little it's worth, I'd also vote for a guest posting termination. When I first decided to post on this forum, I registered. It's quick. It's easy. It's surely what anyone who actually wanted to post anything even slightly useful would do anyway. It would very likely end the spam.
