The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous
Ulitzer95 replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Has her own thread because she's notable in her own right, not as just a relative. -
Two names we've discussed before now have sources confirming their deaths: Doris Johnson (wiki), Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives (1965–1969 and 1971–1975) died on 27/6/21 aged 98. Funeral home death notice. James Arthur Ewing (wiki), disgraced Democratic Governor of American Samoa (1952–1953). We previously knew he had moved to Fiji, then discovered a newspaper clipping that had him living in Capri, Italy in 1961. Well he later returned to Fiji, but died and was buried in Australia on 16/2/96 aged 79. His death notice is in the Ryerson Index and here is a photo of the gravestone. Don't think there are any other U.S. politicians left on my "possibly living/dead" list now, but there's a few Canadians I need help with still: * Mary Walker-Sawka (wiki, b. 1916?) – first woman to lead a major political party in Canada. So wtf happened to her? * Fred E. Soucy (wiki, b. 1922) – a lack of 100th birthday news makes me think he's dead. * Don Chard (wiki, b. 1924) – if alive, he'll be 100 on 29th Feb. Still politically active in the 2000s but is he dead?

Yes, he doesn't seem to be too smart, which makes me question how good his research is and wonder if he's making mistakes.

Surely someone would just delete the comment and not in the entire post in that instance? Dunno, just feels a bit fishy to me. This guy should really consider getting a website or something rather than posting on a random group. If something more reliable surfaces I'll submit to IMDb/edit his Wiki.

Annette Crosbie is 90 today. Long may she live. -
The author has now deleted his post so he may have made a mistake? In any case, some random guy posting in some random FB chat group is not reliable.

Innocence isn’t measured by social media retweets or likes. Please, just stop making inane comments if you have nothing worthwhile saying. Why do you sit on here all day; don’t you have school or uni or something?

Really relieved for him. One of the nicest people in politics victim to the fantasist tales of a psychopath. There was serious concern in Westminster that Rosindell could have taken his own life. It destroyed his mental health.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Charles Stendig (wiki), American furniture businessman, supposedly dead at 99. Also a WWII veteran. -
Mystery solved on this one. Jack Billings died in his native Ontario on 13 Aug 1992, aged 74. Newspaper obit here. Not spotted before due to a typo in his name in the newspaper obit.

Italian news site reporting the death of Aussie world champion motorcycle road racer Kel Carruthers (wiki) aged 86. Outright denial from a family member here insisting he isn't even sick. It's 2024. Nobody dies!
-
Another article from today. States a reaction from the President of Nigeria. Surely dead then?

A blessing for the rest of us.

Is there any reliable source for this?

As promised, Times QO for Epstein. Edit: Says he died on 6 Feb. -
That’s a shame. I know these type of places are struggling but I’d have expected Lush to go out of business before them. The women who shop there end up smelling like potpourri prostitutes.

They can sometimes be head of state but it’s rare. Also, sometimes they’re in charge of the cabinet but not head of government e.g. in South Korea.

Just did a search for this dude on Wikipedia and this is what came up.
-
Thanks. At the time of posting he wasn’t on either.

Agreed. No idea why the genarians site has omitted him from their 1928 page.

She's not even 80. Could have another decade of this hospital hokey-cokey to go. I feel sorry for the hospital staff who probably groan every time she's readmitted. Where's Lucy Letby when you need her?
