    Time Added

Couldn’t find anything else online but East Fife FC announced it via FB on 28th December so he must’ve died around or just after Christmas.

    The Dead of 2022

Different calendars innit? There is a traditional Korean calendar. Not every country uses (or solely uses) the Gregorian calendar that we’re most familiar with.

    World's Oldest

BLM was very 2021. It’s 2022 now so they’re all having their life support machines turned off.

    World's Oldest

Now he’s not well enough to speak to anyone. Gary Sinise reporting that Lawrence Brooks has died aged 112.

    Summer Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists

Ran by our very own @Canadian Paul. Doesn't post anymore, but I imagine he still reads posts as a guest.

    Widow(er) Shopping

Telegraph obit for Lady Grade, the widow of Lew Grade (wiki), who has died aged 100. Before her marriage, she was a singer in Britain, known as Kathy Moody or "the Singing Starlet".

@Gisooo I submitted the above info with supporting evidence to IMDb. All updated.

    The Dead of 2022

She was born in 1992. Korean ages are different from how we calculate them. She was 29 by western standards, 31 by Korean.

    The Dead of 2021

Is this going to be your new "DL niche" Crem, after retiring your others acts i.e. "the Queen has terminal cancer" and "Oh I wonder if this person will get a QO obit?". I can see you're excited about your newly purchased Times subscription, but you're not the only one who can access their site on here! The nightclub owner is barely notable. Jimmy Cayne belongs in the businesspeople thread, and was already covered in there by Thatcher on 28 December.

    The 100 Club

Frequently mentioned Indian lawyer and politician Aiyappan Pillai (wiki) has died at 107. Picked in the centenarian deadpool, and maybe others.

    Businesspeople, Investors, CEO's

A fairly big name but his death went relatively unnoticed until now... Phil Harvey (wiki), American entrepreneur and philanthropist, died on December 2, 2021, aged 83. He set up sex shops all across the United States, and then invested much of his fortune in sex education programmes, fighting HIV/AIDS worldwide by funding contraception, and giving financial backing to civil liberty causes. Guardian obit.

Why no Indians ever in DeathList?

Why don’t we set up a “Longevity Myths” thread instead? That would just about cover all of the Indian subjects discussed on here.

    Deadpool Detective Work

This is such a strange case. I don't doubt for one second that he's dead because there is an obit here, but he's still listed in the U.S. residency records as currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Must be an oversight. Never seen that happen before.

Yup that's her. Her death record gives her name at the time as "Katherine May Lane". It also lists her other names though, including "Katherine Lane Anderson", "Katherine Alexander" and "Katherine Fricke". She must have married more than once. It also gives her birth details as 9 May 1911 in San Francisco. So IMDb were correct about the place but wrong with the date. Edit: Also, according to the SSDI, her father was Ernest Lane, so she may have been born with that surname.

    Aristocrats

Yesterday the 3rd Baron Monk Bretton (wiki), who is 97, broke the record to become the person who has held a peerage for the longest time ever (88 years and 158 days). He used to sit in Parliament… from 1948(!) to 1999.

    Thoughts On The 2022 List

Yeah, it's okay. Miles better than last year, but that was never going to be difficult. Still loads of room for improvement e.g. still a few silly drops and shot in the dark type picks.

I have uploaded a newspaper clipping about her from 1963 here. She lived in Manhattan, NY and Wainscott, NY. Married prosperous Danish businessman Poul W. Fricke in 1956 (their marriage certificate reveals her real name was indeed Katherine Anderson). It mentions that as a teenager, she lived in Alhambra, California. In the 1960s, she ran an arts programme called the Blue Curtain. All the media coverage refers to her as "Katherine Anderson Fricke". The last mention I can find of her alive is from 1971. That should be enough to get you started.

    The 100 Club

Seems her age was exaggerated. Someone keeps trying to edit her DOB on Wiki, and they're not wrong. Kuinova's real name was Panir Ibragimov according to her family on FB. She lived in Rego Park, NY. The matching residency records on Ancestry tell us the truth. She was born 28 Dec 1926, not 28 Dec 1920! Now WTF is it with ladies from the East lying to make themselves older, and ladies from the West lying to make themselves younger? The mind boggles!

    Political Frailty

This was a lucky dodge for all tbh. Took him 9 days to get a QO from The Telegraph.

    Baseball

Sadly not. In fact, a lot of them simply faded into complete obscurity and were never heard from again (mainly the Cuban negro leaguers). Many on Wiki are missing death dates. Same can be said of many of the AAGPBL players, though not to the same extent as "A League of Their Own" brought a renewed interest to their fame and many re-emerged. Though the AAGPBL still has an appeal for info/contact details for hundreds of its players that they never tracked down!

    Buzz Aldrin or William Shatner

Buzz. Even though he's healthier than Shatner in terms of diet and exercise, ageing has noticeably impacted him more. Shatner has long been a fat fuck. Not sure how he looks so great tbh!
