Why? He's a fraudster. Don't mourn him.

"It now appears that his grand old age may actually have been a product of lax fact-checking. Guinness World Records said last year that Bobi’s age had been verified by a Portuguese government database. However, an investigation by Wired magazine found that Bobi had only been registered on the system in 2022, a year before he died. At the time, Bobi’s owner had declared that the dog had been born in 1992, but an official for the database explained that it had “no registration or data that can confirm or deny this statement”." That's incredibly embarrassing. Why should anyone take Guinness World Records seriously when that's where they set the bar with standards?

Chinese Wiki says he was born in 1911. Which year is correct?
-
I'm sure @arghton will confirm but I believe that means there are no notable ppl left who were born in 1912 now?

*unless any of the June Taylor Dancers are still alive. They were in several episodes and there were 16 of them. Seems to be little detail available online so who knows.

Sadly I can’t use this Facebook group as a Wiki source either. -
I like the Yahoo UK addition. Yields a much higher number of hits and it makes it more inclusive for ppl outside the UK eg for US sporting stars that wouldn’t otherwise obit. Makes it far more interesting.

I think drol was taking the piss, probably out of TOC who normally asks that question on every thread.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...
Ulitzer95 replied to Vaagheid's topic in DeathList Forum
According to an unsourced edit (now reverted) to his page on October 3, Edward Downe Jr. (wiki) died on October 1, aged 94. Crooked businessman and socialite caught up in the "Irish cottage" scandal who received a presidential pardon from Bill Clinton in the final days of his presidency. Can anyone find confirmation? -
The changes on his Korean page seem to go back in forth, but neither dates have a reference to confirm, so could still be total b/s. We need a reliable source for this.

Little media coverage but lots of tributes on Facebook from Kenyan MPs and friends, including pictures of the funeral programme and photos from the funeral itself. Tom Morello was a pallbearer and there’s plenty of pics of him at the service.

Can't quite believe she's never been mentioned on here before... Christian Lamb (wiki) is 104 this year. One of the last surviving WRENs, she helped plan the D-Day landings. Anyway, can't find a link but she was on BBC News tonight. Looked great. Perfect makeup and still without a wheelchair (albeit using a Zimmer frame). May have a year or two left in her. Will be interesting to see if she was played in the DDP this year.
