I have to say I'm really disappointed at the lack of sN-wording references to this guy's christian name. Are we slipping?
-
Another good one is on the Richard Whiteley thread from "WhiskeyHead" I still can't work out what it means.
-
So, she's red and dead now then.
-
Tick...tick...tick...tick... Hmmm I guess you really did get wound up. I'l have to watch myself around you. When I'm annoyed it seems I become repetitive. Sorry.
-
But at least they included an email address for you to flame. I particularly liked the "stay on the and die" bit. Stay on the what????
-
Got it in one, my friend! Maybe, but on this thread they've managed to drown out the regulars. The stupidity of one drive by-er, getting wound up by the stupid comments of another really winds me up.
-
Hey, Grim Reaper & Co, after reading all the drive-bys on this thread (many commenting on each other) the following thought occurs to me; would it be possible to block the guests on certain hot-topics (ie when someone has just died)? Or is laughing at the nutters one of the secret thrills of Deathlist?
-
I'd like to second all the comments expressing shock at Richard's early demise. He will be missed.
-
Nah, Tariq's hard at work in a Bank. (Although he does "Call everyone Tony")
-
Talk about chutzpah! If the companies were smart, they wouldn't let him in the front door. I find it astonishing that someone so demonstrably inadequate in his chosen career still has the gall to try and scrape a living out of his own failure.
-
Erm no. They died when there capsule caught fire during training; it was only decided to name this "Apollo 1" afterwards.
-
Quelle surprise!

I think you should bear in mind that we brits aren't acclimatised to heat (despite it getting hot every year) and we tend to wilt in anything over 20C. Also it was 32C in London yesterday

According to ITV Teletext today, Jeremy Beadle's leukaemia is not life threatening. Am I the only one who's hoping that his leukaemia will at some point in the future figuratively remove its fake beard and say "Actually Jeremy I'm not leukaemia at all, I'm Rabies"?

Well here for a start, Saddam I guess I was rather naive in expecting you to flesh out your theory on Saddam's replacement Bruno - Much more fun to distract away from it with a long slagging off of my post.
-
Because he's an example of the idea that you can get away with stuff if you're famous. I think most people will be delighted if he's finally punished for the things he's done. My ultimate fear is not that he'll be found "Innocent"/"Guilty as Hell", but that in true Private Eye style he'll be found to be "Famous" and get off scott free again.

I suspect this is more down to psychology than a conspiracy. Slobodan Milosevic berates the judges in his "Trial" and is generally rude and uppity to everyone, and no-one thinks he's a look-alike. Rudolf Hess was clearly two stops after Barking at Nuremberg, and plenty of people were willing to believe it wasn't the real him. I therefore suggest that the sight of Saddam shuffling about in his underpants like an embarrassing older relative is too much for many Americans, who have been told for the past decade that he is the most evilest[sic] man in the world. The truth is that he's just a second rate dictator whose luck ran out. If the US was going to use look-alikes to stage show trials don't you think they would go for Bin liner first?
-
Well if you'd just been resurrected, you probably wouldn't be your usual prolix Ladybird-Johnson obsessed self.
-
Yes, but he's always been like that. The only thing I noticed is that he's now basically wearing his trousers around his chest. Despite what earlier posters said in this tread, he sounded fine to me. If anything he looked better than he did in the May edition.
-
I presume the choices of "Innocent"/"Guilty as Hell" are based on the legal system of Texas then?
-
Does this make me the Lionel Hutz of Deathlist then? (Thats about the level of the legal advice I can provide)
-
No, he just can't be re-tried on the original charges again. Unless of course he's planning on becoming celibate. In which case there will be nothing in the future to charge him on.
-
I believe it's recorded months in advance, so no. Reading on teletext yesterday, I've been proved wrong. Guest presenters are going to be brought in. As well as being good news for William Hague/Boris Johnson/all the rest now HIGNFY has finished for this year, it also tends to indicate that Richard's recovery will be protracted. He's not out of the woods yet!

Erm sorry, I only speak english you know. Inferior single languaged being That's still one more language than you can manage, based on your earlier post.

How about the dl jury? Innocent What do the other dl's say Guilty as Hell. So it's 2/1 against you at the moment HCW. (Maybe this would work better as a Poll?)
