Bad news from BBC News So it look's like he's still going to be with us for a while yet.

    Sir Patrick Moore

For research I watched this month's "The sky at night" on BBC4. About a 1/3 of the show was presented by Patrick's Protégé, who did all the the outside stuff and then reported back to "Gamesmaster" Patrick is quite studio bound now - indeed I think it's from his home in Chichester. He seemed in okay health, but he's now unable to put his tie on straight. I think he's a definite for this year.

It was worth staying up to see the Paxman/Galloway grudge match.

I won't quote you "R.A. Conine" but I will say this; Paragraphs make for easier reading A giant block of text is a little bit off-putting, especially when it's all one long rant.

    PD Orton

From the news strory: "He had a naturally retentive memory and knew not only the field characters but much of the fine microscopic detail of fungi by heart." I guess the fungi will get a chance to know his "fine microscopic detail" know.

    What is this now "Soundtracklist.net"?

    Famous death imminent

I hope to God that's sarcasm. You couldn't actually be impressed by someone who says, "Someone famous is going to die." and then when someone does, "Yes that's who I was predicting."

    Slobodan Milosevic

I suspect this is more likely a form of the "Ernest Saunders" defence.

    THE UK GENERAL ELECTION

Same thing happened to me! I would also like to vote in this poll but seemingly I already have???!!!!!!! Did you perchance do a null vote/view results before coming back to vote? If so, the "null vote" is possibly the part that you are overlooking. What is a "Null vote"?

    Margaret Thatcher

If you're using a postal vote, you've already voted for a Labour candidate in Birmingham. 15 times. I don't get it. Care to elucidate? See here, Birmingham vote rigging Despite this the Labour party has decided to increase postal voting in the coming election. Out of interest, some of the postal ballots arrived at my house today. The fact that they're ballot forms is blazoned all over them and they have purple boxes over the edges, so you don't even have to look at the front of them to see what they are. Wouldn't it have been smarter to put them in brown envelopes? I pity the poor deluded sods who have decided to vote by post.

    Famous death imminent

I Like your "Nostradamus" style prediction. A totally open ended prediction - to which any celeberity death can be grafted after the event.

I think this has been covered before -yes they are. You have to Die before you can be reincarnated. Just treat "Reincarnations" as seperate people.

I don't know, you could get together with the French government and kill two birds with one stone.

    Margaret Thatcher

Another one for the Lib Dems, with Green not far behind. But who gets my vote on the day will depend very much on which candidate is up to standard. I hate the "winner takes all" system that they have in the UK politics game. My vote will mean nothing unless I vote for the winning party. How can they call this democracy? Your vote doesn’t mean much if you do vote for the winning party. Clearly they will have many policies you don't agree with, and will use their majority as evidence of their brilliance.

    Ronnie Biggs

??? what has myra hyndley got in common with ronnie biggs? she was a sadistic murderer of children, ronnie biggs robbed a train and never murdered anyone. the only reason ronnie biggs is still in jail is because he made the british police and govenment look like what they really are... ONE BIG JOKE. they wont let him go because they want pay back for him showing them up for so long and it is nothing to do with his crime. Most criminals with long sentences spend the best years of their lives in Prison (IE youth to middle age) Ronnie spent his in Brazil instead, isn't it fair that he spend the worst years of his life (IE extreme old age) in prison instead. He seems to have been pretty lucky to me.

    Queen Elizabeth II

No until Charles Stewart stared the second civil war, most parliamentarians were desperate not to have him executed. Unless of course your circular argument is that "Charles had to do the things that caused Parliament to execute him - otherwise Parliament would have executed him" Yes but Cromwell would have done away with quickly. Charles was kept under fairly loose arrest initially, and frittered away his chance to compromise with Parliament by trying to do secret deals with Irish/Scots to restart the war. Charles II had warts - just not on his face. I had an education that prepared me for life - I was expelled at 15

    THE UK GENERAL ELECTION

Why was I told: "You have already voted in this poll" Is someone else using the same IP as me?
  25. Dr Strangelove

    Queen Elizabeth II

On the contrary I think it exposes lack of subtly of your thinking Not really, his death ended the Civil wars which he continually tried to prolong and thus saved thousands of lives.
