    The Dead Of 2012

Ironically succumbed to pancreatic cancer, the same thing that killed his "Road House" co-star Swayze. How ironic. It's like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife. That's not ironic, that's just a pain in the ass. Yep The ironic thing is that all the supposedly ironic things in Alanis Morrisettess song were in fact......not ironic Maybe she knew that all along. Which would make it irony. I see. Regarding irony: an online friend of mine uses (or used) Ferrous Patella as an online nick. Not many people get the pun. regards, Hein Iron knee?

    The Dead Of 2012

Never has an age to die been more fitting than this one. True, although Bobby Fischer dying at 64 comes close.

That rather suggests he was not in fact a drug cheat.

    James Randi

The evangelist thing was obvious even before Randi's explanation. But I like him nonetheless.

    The Dead Of 2012

At the risk of sounding insensitive I thought this was a joke at first. He killed himself because his dog died?

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2013

He is 68 and has kinda looked that way for the past 25 years as has Keith Richards. Lord knows how he has almost made it to 70!

Got to give her credit even if you think she was stupid for doing it in the first place.

    Gary Glitter

Ben did not do the opposite, he did, on the contrary, the same thing: he used an assumed name to mask his/her real identity. I'm not questioning using assumed names; I'm doing exactly the same thing here. I'm challenging the quality of 'Ben's' reasoning. Yes, I was thinking that as well. I think this guy was just doing the whole thing for a laugh/to wind people up, I doubt his actions can or will lead to any changes in the law.

    Margaret Thatcher

I think if you asked a lot of OAP's in England who David Cameron is, they probably couldn't tell you. I had a job a few years ago where I had to ask a series of questions to help nurses detect the early stages of dementia. One of the questions "who is the current President?" at the time it was Bush, although quite a few would answer Ford or Reagan. Even if they had answered "George Bush" that would have been no indicator of health, because they may have been referring to his father!

    Margaret Thatcher

No. The last one was for Sir Winston Churchill. Even the Queen Mother didn't get a full-on State Funeral, so I am mystified why people think Thatch might. Perhaps it's similar to the United States, where leaders will often deny a state funeral in their will. The only reason Nixon didn't get one was because he refused one. You sure it was nothing to do with the fact that he was a huge crook?

    Bee Gees

Bugger all. I presume you meant to say that leading a healthy lifestyle is no guarantee of living to a ripe old age.

So he's a teetotal vegan. And about to die aged 62. What does this tell us...?
