  2. I read the thread wrong too. I thought it said "Bill Clinton scat socks".

Needless to say, I thought DL had been infiltrated by some filthy cash-click internet pornsters and I shut down my PC immediately, having first initiated a full virus scan and "emptied my cookies folder" (pun intended).

You must have a dirty mind, or visit strange place in the web ...

When you wrote scat, I thought that his saxophone playing had led to a case of jazz rapping ...

  4. Read below first ...

    As emailed to me ...

I had to think of people that would actually enjoy this twisted,

perverted type of email. Strangely enough, your name came to mind.

Feel free to pass it on to other similarly twisted acquaintances of

yours..... It is not for the faint of heart.

If you have a weak stomach, then don't look at the attachment, it is a

picture of the demise of a suicide jumper taken shortly after he landed,

it shows him with his insides now on the outside.

You will see the look of horror on the faces of the bystanders.

    ;)

  5. To quote ...

But instead, I'm just going to criticize Death List. Not for poor taste, but for being a bunch of cheapasses. They just 'get better' over time by choosing successively-older lists! Look at their poor-scoring original list: the average age (excluding the mentioning of 'any one Beatle', which would bring the average down further) is 70.02. By 1996, the list's average age was up to 78.24, with 7 deaths. The average age for the 'record haul' death list is 87.40, and 14 deaths. It seems like they've leveled off, because the 2006 list has an average age of 87.42.

So basically, when they say that they've gotten better at choosing their picks, they've really just discovered the fact that older people tend to die more often than younger people.

Does anyone want to join me in an age-dependent Death List prediction? I'm thinking, 50 people, maximum average age must be 60 or lower. You want to put Albert Hoffman on your list? Fine. But you're going to have to counterbalance him with Mary-Kate Olson. Who's up to the challenge?

  6. But was he famous in 1979, when he was sentenced to death?

I doubt it, my point being that he has only really become famous/infamous since being sentenced. Which would place him in the same category as people who have become famous since being diagnosed with a terminal illness. The death penalty being the equivalent of a long terminal illness.

The chances of Arnie granting clemency are very, very slim.

    Indeed.

He's only famous because he's going to die sooner than his natural allotted span.

As for ol' Schwarzy, it depends on how he wants to be perceived by the public and his future career ...

hardline rightist politician ... or ...

    populist film star.

Could be good for him to grant clemency if he goes back to films (and as his political career is probably stalled, he might not have much choice)

  7. It's a very oldie but goodie but still those stories about Catherine the great and an interesting death involving a horse persist in some quarters.

    Another oldie worth repeating

"Rasputin was led to the cellar and fed poisoned cakes and wine, but these did not affect him. Yusupovsky then shot the monk at point blank range and Rasputin collapsed on the floor. When Yusupov went to tell his fellow conspirators the good news, they sent him back to make sure he had done the job. On returning to inspect the body, Grigory Rasputin suddenly regained consciousness and started to throttle poor Yusupov, who needless to say was completely scared out of his wits. The Prince fled the cellar, screaming for help; when they returned Rasputin was gone. They found him in the yard crawling towards the gate and proceeded to shoot and bludgeon him. They then bound him and tossed him into the river. When Rasputin's body was found, his bonds were broken and his lungs were filled with water, showing that he didn't actually die until he was submerged in the frozen waters."

  8. For anyone that doesn't know about/remember David Icke, this will tell you all you need to know.

Icke has further claimed that a small group of Jews, particularly the Rothschild family, financed Adolf Hitler and supported the Holocaust. These claims have led to his speaking tours attracting the interest of British neo-Nazis, particularly Combat 18, as well as facing opposition from Jewish groups and anti-racism activists. In response to these allegations, Icke has strongly denied that he is an anti-Semite, and has stressed his belief that the Illuminati, including the Rothschild family, are reptilians, not Jews.

    :referee:

  9. They know where you live ...

    And how ...

    And who you are ...

    Even if you're innocent ...

"DNA can be taken [by the police] from those arrested, and retained permanently even if they're not charged or found guilty... In the case of arrests, you could see situations where large numbers of demonstrators are arrested then released without charge, but have their DNA added to the database anyway."

So, who wants to go on a protest march now ?

  10. Strictly speaking, he'll be banned from sitting as a Tory in the House of Lords.

But, as he's still a Lord, they can't stop him from sitting in the Lords as a non-Tory.

Whether he becomes just a plain Tory member I believe is up to his local party office, not HQ. And as a plain Tory, he'll probably be let back in.

There are idiots in the Tory party who think he should get a second chance.

Do they not read the papers ? ... it'd be more like his fifth chance, not second.

The guy's a walking disaster area. Any Tory leader would be well advised to bury him.

  11. Didn't he declare himself bankrupt a few years ago? Who'll pay his hospital bill? It must run into tens of thousands.

The Mail on Sunday said he faced more financial problems after seven weeks at Cromwell Hospital which it estimated to cost up to 100,000 pounds (145,000 euros, 171,000 dollars). It did not say how much would be covered by insurance.

    Quoted from here

  12. ... and those that have murdered children where ...

May I also congratulate on your own erudite post*, and for getting the whole point of the site.

*Except for the quote above. I do hope (well not hope, but presume) you mean 'those who have had their children murdered', rather than 'those who go about murdering children'

  13. "the country's official youth newspaper, Thanh Nien, ran a story quoting the entertainer's neighbors claiming he had taken home several underage girls--and was becoming a nuisance with his singing."

So it was the singing that did him in !

  14. The Vietnamese are supposedly looking at one of the lesser charges they can make (upto 12 years imprisonment), rather than one of child rape (death penalty).

So he's not a likely consideration for next year.

  15. And you think they won't sell the details on ?

"The revelations raise serious questions about the way personal information held by the Government is sold commercially.

They will also provoke fears about the possible abuse of Tony Blair's identity card scheme, which will create a powerful database of details about everyone in Britain.

The Government's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency last night admitted it hands out drivers' details at £2.50 a time when provided with car registration numbers.

All drivers are legally required to give the DVLA their up-to-date address, although few know this information can be sold on.

Private car park companies, however, have the right to obtain this information under obscure regulations introduced three years ago and waved through the Commons with no debate.

    ....

It may come as some surprise that in the era of the Data Protection Act - the law designed to restrict access to personal details kept on databases - that the DVLA is able to sell on information about drivers.

However, the provision in the 2002 Road Vehicles Regulations giving car park companies the right to find out about 'vehicle keepers' overrides any earlier restrictions in the Data Protection Act.

The revelation will fuel growing concerns about the use of information held by Government departments. Ministers are planning a massive database of personal information about every adult in the UK as part of the planned ID card scheme.

Ministers insist access to the data will be carefully regulated - and not sold on to private companies.

However, the revelations about the way the DVLA database is exploited commercially raises fears that the much larger ID card computer could be 'raided' in a similar way.

Gareth Crossman, director of policy for civil rights group Liberty, said: "I have no doubt that once the register of personal information is in place, the number of people with access to it will increase hugely." "
