ZZ is close to 1000 posts in her thread (43 left if I'm not wrong)....is this a record here? is she the first to reach that milestone on DL?
Fidel Castro has 1347 posts on his thread.

Surprised Meat Loaf wasn't on the list.

I think it's absolutely fine to post it in "Dead of 2016".
I've said before, I think all deaths should be recorded in the "Dead of (year)" thread. Then it serves as a handy reference diary for the year in question. Surely this was the original purpose of the thread?
I agree 100%. I feel this thread should be more of a reference point instead of a discussion thread.
Maybe the person who has added a death or another poster could post a link to a more suitable thread for discussion.

33) Bob Hope
I hope I have checked these properly.
Unless this is a different Bob Hope from the one I'm thinking of, you might want to switch him out.
Oops, I was meant to put Bob Dole.

My sources tell me he is very ill and has not got much longer to live, possibily only a couple of months if not weeks.Who, Henry Allingham? Going on the last video from BBC it wouldn't surprise me, but what sources?
Can't really say because of confidentiality, but my source is from people who work in the nursing home he lives in.

76 Today.
Looking on Sky Sports News, he is looking frail and looks as if he is unable to walk without help.
Despite this, I reckon he will survive 2009.

I don't think he will die this year.
BB King to play UK arena concerts
Blues legend BB King is to play four arena concerts in the UK - despite retiring from touring outside of the US in 2006.
He will tour with 75-year-old British blues veteran John Mayall, who will play in the first half of the shows followed by King in the second half.
The pair will perform in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and London at the end of June.
King, 83, launched his professional career in 1947.
During the 1950s, he was averaging 275 concerts a year and, in 1956, he notched up 342 gigs.
The 14-times Grammy-winner is best-known for his hits Every Day I Have The Blues and The Thrill Is Gone, performed on his guitar, Lucille.
In December, he performed with the Foo Fighters and John Mayer at the first ever Grammy Nominations Concert, in Los Angeles.
Announcing his retirement from international touring in 2006, King said: "I think the clock is ticking, yes.
"In fact, I know it is.
"Frank Sinatra sang about the September of [his] years. I think I'm in the November of my years."

Why is this on the sky website but they're saying absolutely nothing about it on Sky News? I'm not convinced yet.
I was also thinking that. It would be strajnge to release a video about his life before announcing on the main news of his death.
