I hold my hands up and admit I don't 'get' this thread. For most of the names quoted, I can't see how their deaths are significant outside of their family & friends. There are exceptions, e.g. Michael Jackson, was still performing when he died. Perhaps someone (YW, FB) can tell me how Manson dying is significant - there's a few disciples plannig to carry on his legacy just waiting for this occasion, I can't see the significance. As for Keith Barron (BufordTJ), hasn't appeared in anything for 3 years, hasn't even been on Countdown for 7 years! How is his death significant?

130 years ago, poet Emma Lazarus died aged 38; she was not brought back from the dead, that was some other Lazarus. She's best know for her poem The New Colossus, the words of which can be found at the base of the Statue of Liberty: "The New Colossus" Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" Emma Lazarus, 1883
