wildstorm replied to Sir Creep's topic in DeathList Forum
*Leonardo DiCaprio gets murdered* "How did the committee NOT have him on the list?!" >this thread -
Dead edit: "Death in the Fastlane", or something? I'm no good at these...

Wow! I feel really bad for CĂ©line. Say what you want about her/her music, but this is a lot of tragedy for one person to have to cope/struggle with by herself. My sympathies go out to her.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
wildstorm replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
William Goldman, who not only wrote the screenplay for my favourite movie "The Princess Bride", but is also the author of the original book. Among his other works (screenplays or novels): Marathon Man, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All of the Presidents Men, A Bridge Too Far I'm sure some of y'all knew he was still among the living (now 84), but this is a delightful surprise for me. -
I'm so heartbroken by this. I know Alan Rickman was a lot more to everyone else here, but for me he is the man who brought Snape to life in the Harry Potter movies (a franchise I grew up with; and one that I literally spent half of my life enjoying). R.I.P. you beautiful man </3

So he pitched a total of 2 big league innings? Doesn't take much to get an obit posted here. I'm not blaming you, Wildstorm, I'm blaming the entire world and everything in it. SC I understand your concern, and assure you that the main reason I posted this obit is because he shares his namesake with a beloved American chef (and this thread seemed most fitting). I otherwise would not have bothered posting.

my heart skipped a beat when I read that Alton Brown had died... only to realize it was the 90-year old Washington Senators pitcher

Video showing a wheelchair-bound Milt Schmidt, meeting with the bruins pre-winter classic, led me to look into Schmidt's health. Apparently, he was in quarantine at his nursing home last year after a bout with illness. Other than that, not much, but I hope he has enough fight to keep him around a while yet.

Bully Graham, I choose you!

Unless this is a different Bob Hope from the one I'm thinking of, you might want to switch him out.

.... in other news: Hostage situation taking place at a motorcycle shop in Wisconsin edit: Here's the link to the Fox news coverage, if that's your jam.

He was less popular with older people, particularly if they had to wait in line behind him at airports.

I'm at the turning point of my deathlist calendar where I want him to survive the year (so he can be an easy hit on my DL next year) but simultaneously wouldn't mind collecting a 12th hit for this year.

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
wildstorm replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
Close, but she dies just before the 2016 starting line. -
Hockey Hall-of-Famer Bert Olmstead sent to the box after a stroke
-
Kirk Douglas- he's been featured on the deathlist more than any other current candidate... this has nothing to do with why I picked him; just a fun observation.

I was going to withhold some of my choices but, seeing as I don't actually participate in the DDP, I'm not actually affected by giving away my choices (everyone here probably already has the following names queued up for their pools anyway). Likely obit-able names: Tommy Chong (actor): prostate cancer and rectal cancer Gaston Glock (Firearms engineer): suffered a few strokes and is in ill health, also old Joyce Randolph (actress: "Honeymooners"): just plain old and frail Charles Trippy (vlogger): Brain tumour removed last year, had lots of seizures this year- ongoing treatment Sumner Redstone (Billioinaire Viacom): old and in failing health Joseph Kony (remember that guy?): Reportedly gravely ill Some fringe picks for shadow lists: Stan Mikita (Hockey player): Previously battled oral cancer, now has Lewy Body Dementia Chuck Blazer (FIFA Admin): Colon cancer, diabetes, coronary heart disease I have more written down somwhere... will update later
