Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006
Teddy replied to Tuber Mirum's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Many thanks for the Birthday Wishes everyone. And my apologies for not being around so much. Family and work have encroached into my quality internet time. Will try to pop back more often, especially since people here remember my birthday - which is more than my children manage -
Former Heart of Midlothian Chairman Wallace Mercer. Probably best known as the man who tried to kill off Hibs - thankfully without success!

Lou Rawls justifies the Committee's decision to make him favourite for the top spot, with his death today. Please post any comments here.

I can't honestly say I'd heard of her, or anything she'd been in, but where did you hear she'd died? IMDB don't seem to be aware of it. Here is the link.

Interesting theory. May I ask you, is that you in your avatar and if so, why are you dressed like a female Halibut/ terrorist. Most Halibut women who observe hijab are not terrorists. It's a pity that a traditional form of dress should be equated with terrorism. Most suicide bombers are young men, so the hijab is not relevant. Unless they are cross-dressers

And from me too. Happy Hogmanay, and when it comes, Happy New Year. PS - GR, the brown paper envelope got returned. Does that mean my New Year 'Honour' has been refused

Very good advice, stay in school and you may end up like heaven can wait. Leave school, and you may end up like this muppet, who seems to think they are Maradona and obviously follows their own advice of not using their brain too much

Absolutely fair enough. And besides, if a child is only famous for being ill then they wouldn't qualify anyway. But let's say if... oh... one of those adorable Olsen twins became terminal, surely they would be fair game (though maybe they're not famous enough?? They might also be of age now, so perhaps not the best example)? Whoops - am I a sikko for suggestion that [gasp] a child [/gasp] be 'fair game'? How would I like it if people were betting on one of my children to die? I must be a sick m*therf*cker. Do you mean these Olsen twins??

Not sure the list is the cabinet from 1989, as the person far left, front row, is Lord Mackay of Clashfern, who replaced Lord Havers in 1987 and was Lord Chancellor until 1997 when the Tories lost power.

I would have thought refusing to give up the seat was totally in keeping with the spirit of the day

The trick is to give them the tellys and then limit them to endless re-runs of 'Pets Win Prizes.' Or some Richard O'Sullivan sit-coms

A lot would depend on whether they were famous before they were sent for execution. In the same way we would question the inclusion of anyone who was famous because of a terminal illness (ie Jane Tomlinson), then I think we would exclude anyone famous solely because they were on death row. However in this case, Gaz, like Saddam, is famous for more than just facing execution.

Bruno, that is so sad. The sense of loss brought a tear to my eye. Believe me when I say I feel your pain.

No Elspeth I think his obsession is with you. Your stern, no nonsense ways have bewitched young Windsor. He is obviously lashing out because he knows no other way to express his inner- most feelings. Try to be understanding of his clumsy wooing, and let the poor felllow down gently. Or failing that, send your husband round....

No relation to me I assure you......nor anywhere near as good looking and charming as I. Or as alive

Tam the Gun The local paper here (Edinburgh) had this as front page news last night. Thought he was very much local personality, so didn't post, until I spotted the BBC item.

Scotty's blast off has been delayed by engine problems, until some time in February. The Enterprise engineer would be most displeased. I'm sure if 'Scotty' were still alive, they would be ready in January
