Meanwhile former activists and supporters will continue to meet in the bier kellers of Basingstoke and Tunbridge Wells, reminiscing over the old times and singing the at the Parish Council. Yes, those were the days, when the reds were rolled back over the steppes of South Yorkshire and Thatcher's forces could almost reach out and touch Barnsley town hall. I had imagined that he died years ago. I don't know, call me sceptical, but I can't help but wonder if he's really dead.. There's no denying the fact that it comes at a good time for Obama - what with his waning popularity and all. No doubt, this will do his popularity no harm at all..

It's snowed heavily here all night - which should make for some beautiful photos, however, I don't much relish the thought of slipping on an icy footpath. Should it matter one way or the other?
