Just checking that's not a euphemism??

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Dodd wound up doing a Tommy Cooper on stage, he will literally keep touring till he reaches either the morgue or the nursing home
-
He Will be right at home in prison sandwiched between dark and white meat. One place you certainly don't wanna get a Footlong I bet its not even an inch Long Quite honestly, I have no desire to find out

What's the headline gonna be when he passes - We Got Carter?
-
Not good for him, but for us it's 'Super, Smashing, Great'

Yeah, I was worried that he might not make it to 2016, but it seems like his cancer isn't as bad as we think it is. "2017 at least" seems like a stretch, but I'm confident that he'll surpass my sweepstakes prediction of February 29, 2016. He's worthy of inclusion for next year in any case, any number of ailments could finish him off

Not a chance, he wouldn't want to give the likes of IS the 'validation' killing him would provide

I would say so, in addition to her EE stint she has quite extensive stage credits on the West End and elsewhere -
we need Clifton James and Sean Connery threads as well Otherwise it's a night in the box

Really? I know quite a few people who have died in the last 10 years, and there are numerous other posters who have mentioned their own bereavements. Think your comment is the odd one. I agree with Dead Wait. Statistically speaking, it's unlikely that any of the posters from 10 years ago were above retirement age. Thus, the statistical likelihood of any of them being dead today is fairly small. Of course, it's certainly possible, but guest's comment would've suited better had he referred to posters from the 1970s/1980s instead. (Not that Internet existed then, but you get the idea). It did actually

Jimmy Carter, Brian Sewell, Howard Marks and Oliver Sacks should all be top of the list for next year
-
About the only way the likes of them can get media coverage these days, apart from assisting police enquiries of course
-
He sounds as lucid as ever, but judging by the look of him could easily just go in his sleep, sure he'd welcome it
-
I shouldn't think so, not like he's on the political front lines anymore
-
So they're praying to "god" for him to recover, surely if "god" sees everything and effectively controls all that happens. Wouldn't it have been "god" that put him in that state in the first place? He works in mysterious ways...

Don't think this ever even aired in the UK? Apart from one episode broadcast on BBC4 in about 2003/04 as part of some theme night

She is definately one to keep an eye on.As soon as she can no longer work she strikes me as someone who would just give up.She already said she doesn`t want to live past 90 or be resuscitated and that along with her age and chain smoking surely makes her a serious contender next year. She's starting to look her age in those photos as well, wasn't the whole Dot going to prison thing because of her real life deteriotation? Possibly, but also bearing in mind her age she can't be expected to keep up with the shows demanding schedule, think it shoots something like 6am-10pm six days a week When it comes to your eternally present old ladies in soaps, the producers will generally schedule it so there scenes are less frequent and they need to work less. The prime example of this is Emily Bishop in corrie who's went from at one point being in every episode of the show to now turning up once in a blue moon. Rita will probably take a similar path followed by Ken. Yeah, often to the point when they are little more than a spare part, so if they do croak it can easily be written into the storylines. Don't think Betty did anything other than serve hotpot at the Rovers for the last 10 or so years till she died. Can't see Dot Cotton, Rita or Ken quietly shuffling off tho, bearing in mind how pivotal their characters have been. Each will get a proper exit I reckon, assuming they don't die suddenly of course -
