Don't speak too soon, we've been known to have lengthy 'droughts' after a fruitful period
-
I went for the king of Thailand for similar reasons, but this here thread is now endangered, we'll soon be posing our guesses for death #11. Not so much endangered as now officially irrelevant

Has anyone mentioned George Blake? There was a Storyville doc on about him recently, he was a spy for MI6 but he turned commie after being captured in North Korea in the 50s, he was eventually found out but escaped from the Scrubs and fled to the former USSR, where he remains to this day. 93 now, decrepit looking and going blind but he still sounds pretty lucid. He wasn't part of the Cambridge Five but would definitely get extensive coverage
-
Is that not just wishful thinking?
-
Articles covering it would surely include a selection of his most memorable quotes and put downs

I predict this joke is gonna wear thin very quickly

It's never been as good since WCW folded and WWE was the only big player left standing, the lack of any serious competition has rendered them complacent and arrogant, as well as leaving aspiring wrestlers with even fewer options. Nobody has gained from this scenario
-
It was real, for sure plenty of wrestlers have faked heart attacks on air in the past (Ric Flair in 1999 being perhaps the most memorable) but if you look back they had no commentary on Raw for the remainder of the night after he collapsed, and at one point he could even be heard snoring. Naturally WWE attempted to exploit it after he returned by having Paul Heyman (who is surely only a few cheeseburgers and pizzas away from a bypass himself) and CM Punk mock him. Lawler even allowed Michael Cole to mock one of his relatives dying during their feud, clearly he's one of those who reckons anything is fair game for an angle, he and Vince must get on like a house on fire

You still might get lucky with Jake the Snake this year, though he appears to have put the drink and drugs behind him now he has doubtless shaved years off his life with 2+ decades of habitual abuse
-
I can just picture him at the pearly gates - "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass..."

Another quote from ET. Goddammit quit that already........ ET now announcing both her arms have fallen off! SC So he returned to the planet and is now a showbiz correspondent?

Only if she's just died

Sounds like the kind of thing Frank Bough might enjoy

I'll be boring and go for Crowe, he's had a good innings

You are probably right, but we would of said the same thing 5 years ago and she is still here so who knows but surely she can't go on indefinitely, the Prinz and Zsa Zsa are allowed to stay at there house until September 2018(or the Prinz is allowed to stay 100 or 120 days in the house after Zsa Zsa death assuming she dies between now and September 2018) assuming Zsa Zsa is still alive, if she is still alive in just over 3 years time, it will be interesting to see what happens as surely they couldn't just kick out a then 101 year old woman with her health issues onto the streets. She'd be transferred to a state care facility I suspect

Not terribly likely I'd have thought

Silicon Valley is the funniest sitcom I've seen in the past couple of years -

The original Twilight Zone is five seasons of compelling viewing. One of my favourite sitcoms is Sledge Hammer! A spoof of cop shows where the hero is a violent gun fanatic, show is arguably more relevant than ever now -

If subtitles don't put you off Romanzo Criminale (not to be confused with the film of the same name) is excellent, along with Gomorrah, 1992 is worth a look. Braquo is good, basically a French version of the Shield -

Oz is widely seen as the first proper 'adult' HBO series, can be a bit soapy but very compelling -
Definitely a shoo in for next year should he still be breathing come January 1st

Reasons to doubt it’s the REAL Al Molinaro... The person in the picture is wearing glasses. As far as I’m concerned, Al Molinaro never wore any glasses. Look at the environment in which the photo is taken in. Hardly the type place that one would expect from an retired, experienced Hollywood actor with considerable wealth. Stars prefer luxurious surroundings, regardless of their age! It’s quite hard for a heavy guy to stand up at age 96. The previous hoax photo was more realistic in that aspect. The person in this image is obviously a younger man, i.e. Giovanni, 76. Normally, when you upload pictures of yourselves online, you don’t put fancy photo frames around them like Scott did here. What exactly is the frame trying to cover up from the original picture? Hmm. Hmm, Scott Baio... can the recently diagnosed brain cancer of his wife be worked into the story somehow? http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/scott-baios-wife-renee-diagnosed-with-brain-tumor-2015186 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Happy Days was axed decades ago

Never let it be said that the DLers don't support equal opportunity

Gone for Crowe, in vain I suspect
