UK General Election 2010
Harvester Of Souls replied to Lady Grendel's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Agreed but getting skimmed by the treasury seems to hit everyone, and at the moment it feels a little more so. Since ever? With the recession, the yearly budget, do you have more money in your wallet? Less? Or the same? Well done sir! One of Tony & Gordon's success stories! EDIT: Just wondering how living expenses are and how much money is left over. Not asking for figures, or anything, just wondering how the system is treating it's fair subjects. -

Can any of the DL posters, who dwell in the Motherland, actually claim an improvement in their overall financial well being? I'm interested to see if anyone's wallet is heavier. -

They're trying to tap in to the Pop Idle vote. Who better than Jordan to act as an advisor? -

The Death Of The Decade (2000-2009)
Harvester Of Souls replied to chicago103's topic in DeathList Forum
More people mourned the religious deity that is Michael Jackson than the all the others combined. As a demi-god/paedophile he trumps JPII just... It is the most significant death because everyone's life was touched by MJ. There is no evidence to suggest that JPII touched anyone. -
Health Care Reform

I can't understand it at all. It seems the people that will benefit most directly, from the reform, are the most vocally against it. Just as a strange tangent... Have a read of this... Scary! -

Far enough away from Westminster for it to be insignificant. Don't worry I won't be filling in an absentee ballot. -

I went one better than that and left the country completely! I have no desire to follow a career as a professional liar politician. I worked for the local authority, for a while, and saw just how fucked up local government actually is. I couldn't sleep at night seeing people in poverty and then having to see how mismanaged the system is. The last meeting, I had the misfortune of going to, was a meeting to decide whether they should schedule more meetings. If voting changed anything they'd make it illegal. Whoever wins, in May, the only beneficiaries are the people that are voted in. The popular vote lies with the apathists. The ones who will just not miss Pop Idle to visit the polls. The bottom line is, whoever is elected into Westminster, petrol prices will rise and you will have less money in your pocket. Enjoy your election race! -
Health Care Reform

With the current doom-mongering I can't see this going through. Even $1.3T (yes trillion) off the deficit in the next 20 years, isn't enough to persuade people that insurance companies financially raping US citizens is a bad thing. -

Whoever wins it will be more of the same, over the next 4 years. Everybody loses. -
