It was on the, 16 Feb 2009. So the little twat is not a man of his word.... Can't say I am shocked! -
There is of course the 'Search' button. Its not half as useless as some people make out. If everyone did so, what would pedants have to whine about? We'd find something, don't worry. I have just drawn a like button on my monitor, with my best crayon and have pressed it very, very hard!

Whoopsey, didn't see em! There are a lot of threads for a newbie to peruse in my defence, your honour!

I would just hate to die in a gardening accident. And if they say the best die young then I better be watching my steps. Rich Hall, as Otis Lee Crenshaw does a song about this very thing.... hi lighting from Toto, drummer Jeff Porcaro, some lines I recall below. "It wasn't fast cars or aeroplanes, it wasn't alcohol or drugs, (can't remember the next line, sorry)..., it was shrubbery and bugs!" "They weren't injecting needles, they were trying to kill beetles." "....A toxic cloud leaking from a barrel of DDT, the only drum he never learned to play, carried him away!' Saving the best til last..... "He fought the lawn and the lawn won!"

Sorry to hear this, may her time left be pain free and you as a family find strength to help her on her journey. Thank you We're all still kind of disgesting the information, and thinking of ways we can best deal with the next few weeks in terms of practical and emotional help for her partner and children etc. But it's still all a bit raw so we're all a bit cautious as to what to do for the best. Wow, LB in "not so hard as nails" response Bugger off you low life toad. Hey it's cool, taken in the spirit I'm sure it was intended (I must be mellowing in my old age!) Thanks RA - she was first diagnosed in November 07, had huge amounts of chemo, radio and surgery and was clear for a little while, but it returned last year, she had more chemo which initially we thought was helping, but it wasn't to be. Perhaps I am a tad sensitive this week, coming up to my Dad's 15th anniversary... Makes me a feel, still, a bit like a lost little boy, he wasn't just my Dad, he was my best friend. I hope I am half the parent to my snotty as he was to me! I am sure my normal insensitive side will return tuit de suite!

I spent a very pleasant evening with Sandy, the lead singer from Marmalade, his son was jamming in a pub, with his band The Velvet Hearts, having just recorded his first album. You tube link to follow. The evening was marred somewhat by 3 foot nothing of former radio one nonentity. Bruno 'do you know who I am?' Brookes. The insipid little batsward managed to tag onto a round, hit me for a double whiskey and was not seen again til the end of the night - climbing into the back of a taxi, lighting a ciggy (post ban) and nicking a glass from the pub..... Sandy was a real gent and a great conversationalist, Brookes on the other hand was horrible! -
