Eddie Stobart turns 89 next year. A big name (in road transport circles) in the UK.

All four presidents pay tribute to George and sing his praises in that video. I get the feeling that they are expecting it to be their last public engagement with him.

Went to a ska gig in Bristol a couple of nights ago. Not usually my kind of thing but found myself enjoying it a lot, especially the 'Mad Caddies'. Reel Big Fish headlined. Maybe known to some on here for BASEketball. -

I was watching 'The Frighteners' earlier with Astin in it. Certainly a big enough name imo. -
Very few products are actually made in China, only the labels.

Maybe he should embrace self-deprecation & green-light a project about his wrong-doings. -
Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets

Didn't realise she was a DDP pick. It's never straight forward confirming the deaths of terrorists. Apparently, she was killed back in June. They couldn't confirm whether her lad was killed in the attack so they didn't release any info. The drone strike wouldn't have gone ahead had they known he was in the danger zone, so they say. -

Co-op doughnuts are good, I think it is 75p for 5. I've noticed most shops have bakery sections now, I don't know whether they hire somebody especially to whack them together or if any member of staff can shove em' in the oven. McColls do some pretty heinous grub but it's cheap & cheerful I guess. -

It wont be too much longer before former high-profile footballers are whacked with accusations on a frequent basis.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
dean1991 replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
'Better Call Saul' Season 3 will likely remain my favourite show of the year. Though a little slower in pace than BB, the two share the same effort of character development & subplots which eventually lead into the bigger story. Cracking performance from Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, a fan favourite & probably drives the action forward more so than the titular character. -
People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Just watched an episode of 'The Twilight Zone' from 1986 called 'The Last Defender of Camelot'. Norman played a manipulative aging Merlin who is revealed to be living in Cornwall and is coming out of a deep sleep. One character from the past makes an observation that in the future it is far more difficult to tell who the treacherous leaders are & that our weapons can poison the earth so there is no longer room for errors or bad judgement. -
I don't see a hit for another month or so, I went for Jill as the equalizer.

Disney imagineer Xavier Atencio turns 98 next September. He created 'The Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'Haunted Mansion' attractions. Incidentally they were both adapted to the big screen. One successful, one not so. I would happily share a link to his Wiki profile, however I'm still adjusting to using this device for forum going.

Good to see you back, dean. Thanks, Drol, I missed death.

Had Sky News on for half an hour before work. Fidel's passing was trumpeted on their glorious yellow conveyor banner however was not mentioned once by the presenters. Instead they discussed Black Friday and Dodgy football bosses. Understandably the news is in its early days but BBC have failed to mention anything other than Castro.

It's a shame but not surprising considering his previous lifestyle. 69 is a decent age for a 70s rocker. Can imagine this being the year a few of the old boys clock off.
