Bibliogryphon replied to DevonDeathTrip's topic in DeathList Forum
Phil's going to give a one-off concert: http://www.france24.com/en/20151002-phil-collins-give-career-one-more-night Let's see if booze really has affected him that much. Yeah, and let's see who turns up! Game on, then, the man is back: http://www.nme.com/news/phil-collins/89340 Take a look at him now... I think I preferred the empty space. -
Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Bibliogryphon replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
I already have my shadowlist prepared but I am going to wait until Dec to discuss. Some good names in the DJL but some obscure ones as well -
Leslie Phillips I think he has lulled us all into a false sense of security.

That is good news. I had dropped her from my provisional 2016 line up.

someone trip zsa zsa Gabor Difficult to trip up a woman who is bedridden. If you can think of a way let me know.Besides it wouldn`t work.Zsa Zsa has survived falls before and strokes, blood clots, blocked feeding tubes ,a car crash, divorces ,an amputation and many infections. Therefore a minor fall on a sidewalk probably wouldn`t do it It would have to be a tip rather than a trip.

The list was edited from the initial list where the players were listed by the order in which the entries were received. The early bird and all that....

The timing of the by-election could be difficult because I don't think there is enough time for this to be held before Christmas and therefore may not end up being held until the end of February because ( It is inexpedient for by-elections to be held in August, or at the time of local elections in April/May, or in the period from mid-December to mid-February before (under present arrangements) a new Register is issued. Not sure what the time scale is required from issuing a writ to actual date of the by-election.

Unfortunately this means that the pressure is on Corbyn. Cameron can get his excuses in earlier and argue that even if he picked Harry Styles as the Conservative candidate they are never going to win in Oldham. There will be a lot of analysis of turnout and voting share. Labour have to win big on a good turnout. Might be a gift to UKIP.

Michael Meacher was the least picked of the four surviving MPs from the 1970 parliament.

This has made me check (because I didn't know) there are currently 6 living former Australian PMs one of whom is a woman. I am presuming she is out of the frame.

Alex Kingston (River Song) herself played a bully in an early series. Susan Tully & Sean McGuire

"Ill" is code for fallout..... Twitter says not serious and event will be rescheduled.

One Direction cancel a gig in Belfast tonight because Liam Payne is ill. No details.

That only leaves Lois Baxter, Tom Baker and John Leeson from that serial. It is one that I really enjoy and watch repeatedly.
-
The headteacher was Mrs McClusky played by Gwynneth Powell (b.1946). I didn't realise that by the time the series ended the head teacher was Mona Lisa actress Cathy Tyson.
-
I imagine the sort of actor who would be included here would be Michael Cronin (b.1942) who played PE Teacher Bullet Baxter and who may be recognisable from the Fawlty Towers episode The Builders and to younger audiences as Geoffrey of Monmouth in Merlin this would be his high watermark of fame.

At the Eurostar terminal for my 5th European work trip since the beginning of Sept. Brussels this time. -
Twenty years ago this autumn BBC aired one of its most successful costume dramas Andrew Davies' adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. Curiously (as far as I am aware) there have been no losses from the major cast of this show but here are twenty great and good if anyone wants a Pride & Prejudice and Zombies theme team to coincide with the new movie. Andrew Davies (Adaptation) Sue Birtwistle (Producer) Simon Langton (Director) Colin Firth (Mr Darcy) Jennifer Ehle (Elizabeth Bennett) Alison Steadman (Mrs Bennett) Benjamin Whitrow (Mr Bennett) Joanna David (Mrs Gardiner) Tim Wylton (Mr Gardiner) Barbara Leigh-Hunt (Lady Catherine de Burgh) Rupert Vansittart (Mr Hirst) Lucy Robinson (Mrs Hirst) David Bamber (Mr Collins) Adrian Lukis (Mr Wickham) Marlene Sidaway (Hill) Lynn Fairleigh (Mrs Phillips) Paul Moriarty (Captain Carter) Roy Holder (Hodge) Christopher Benjamin (Sir William Lucas) Carl Davies (Music) What do you mean no-one cares? Philistines......
