Doubt we will ever see Bruce out in public again to be honest, he is pushing 90 and hasn't been seen since October 2015 i think, obviously more ill than they are letting on, wouldn't be surprised if he died just before or just after his 90th next year.

I am of the opposite opinion. If his wife is looking to do Strictly I think he will make it till next year. Otherwise awkward...

I always wondered about that . If independence happened who would challenge the SNP? Could UK parties still run? Would the SNP ban them? Could parties campaign to rejoin the UK? All that Scottish independence would achieve would be 1 party state in Scotland and 1 party state in the UK. Labour I don't think can win a majority without Scotland.

If Scotland became independent then the SNP will fade away or split and there will be a resurgence of the traditional left/right split although with new names. The Scottish Conservative party will be pushing for reunification.

In England there will be a realignment with everyone moving to the right.

Why not sharing the victory and duties? You just have to decide who picks 3 new categories and who picks two. Bonus: The game-runners could even participate and try to win with only those categories the other one picked.

And some people already thought it was complicated.

The hoax email sequence mentions her diabetes.  Given recent performance and link with Type II and Alzheimer's - I retract my Parkinson's and guess she might have early onset Alzheimer's - she's of an age where that can kick in with the Dreaded D.

Don't mention this to any By-Election Bingo players. I might get a unique.

Not necessarily. I think Corbyn will dump or demote her after the election whether they win or lose .Even Corbyn realises what a liability she is !

The illness issue makes this more palatable. It looks like he is taking her situation into account.

I don't really want to pick either, especially as this is far from being a two-horse race.

The pick would only last until another hit because has Rover has pointed out that will change everything. You would both be credited as winners but the prize of running the next game needs a winner. Otherwise we might be resulting to the Deathlist Cup coin flip.

For a party that are supposed to be environmentally friendly the Lib Dems love wasting paper. Must have got the tenth leaflet through in this election campaign this morning.

You must be in a target seat. Apart from one billboard on a roundabout they have been pretty absent here. Though they seem to be putting an effort in in Harborough where Edward Garnier is standing down.

Someone should start a thread for him.Even if he is not ill he is not someone I can see making a good age.

Watched new POTC movie last night. Did think JD had put on weight but the film is a lot of fun and he is very good.

Hadn't realised he also had a one-off appearance in Catweazle.

And of course he was in one of my childhood faves The Ghosts Of Motley Hall.

Glad you mentioned Ghosts because it is so good. You don't get kids shows these days with a cast like Arthur English, Peter Sallis, Freddie Jones and Sheila Steafel.

Complete list of the 14 hits that would finish the game alongside who would win for each one. Ranked by my opinion of the likelihood of them going.

    George H W Bush  (Toast/Death mpends)

    Edwin Bramhall  (RA)

    Bob Dole (msc)

    Jimmy Carter (to)

    Walter Mondale (msc)

    John B. Anderson  (to/di)

    Lyndon LaRouche (di)

    Ross Perot (Rover & Out)

    Dick Cheney  (msc)

    Bob Richards (DI)

    John McVie (ra)

    Des O' Connor  (ra)

    Lynne Cheney  (msc)

    Brian Blessed  (ra)

    Keith Barron  (ra)

    Cliff Richard  (ra)

    Tipper Gore (msc)

I think any of the top six could go.

    Updated post Sallis.

So anyone who isn't George Bush or John Anderson gives us a clear win.

The first person to shout (White) House?

  13. This really is interesting in addition to his No.1 hit, his many centuries for England, running for US vice-president and being elevated to the House of Lords, Peter Sallis played Penley in The Ice Warriors (who are back on TV on Saturday) and was a hit for Death Impends, Rover & Out and Toast. This means there are now five players one hit away from victory although Rover will need Ross Perot for victory. Toast and DI are tied for the number of hits and therefore it is difficult to split them in the event of a tie. Option 1 is to give it to Toast as she got to one off first. Option 2 is to award it based on the number of hits in the smaller pool. This would be DI as he has two hits in Test Cricketers. I will update the finish list so you can see the options.
