Has unspecified health issues, which he also had a few years ago. Could be worth keeping an eye on in the future. https://gametiptip.com/final-fantasy-composer-cancels-concert-due-to-health-issues/

    Death By Numbers 2022

Yep, he was my sub in both this and the Hare's deathpool. Thought he was doing well enough to survive the year. Oh well, may he rest in peace. Out of curiosity, are there any top teams whose jokers haven't died yet? Kinda regret going with Barkan instead of Burgess.

In all seriousness, I didn't know you saw me as that. I've tried my best to make mostly decent contributions to the forum for almost a decade, but hey it's your opinion I guess. Just wanted to give Gisoo an accurate and updated list.

Of all the people to say this, YOU???? Remind me again, how many entries do you have on your Excel longlist? 10 000 or 20 000 names? Have a nice day, you obscure folks-picking deadpooling melt! And get some fresh air once in a while. I mean, Vlastimir Mijovic? Are you fucking kidding me? For the record, if correcting an inaccurate list is pointless, that's your problem.

Believe it or not, he was in a Swedish movie once. So he gets on the list on a technicality. FYI, the broad media consesus at the time was that Blonde in Bondage was one of the worst movies of 1957. Guess which Hollywood actor never returned to make another movie in this part of the world again? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blonde_in_Bondage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i71Qc6Ql7Gk

I'm 99% sure. There are a few people I couldn't confirm so I left them out. On the other hand, I forgot to add three names to the list: Mark Miller, Bo Bjelfvenstam & Ragnar Ulfung.

Errm, those born in the late 1930s are hardly the oldest living actors in Sweden. Below is an up-to-date list of the very oldest to have worked in movies and tv. Maj-Britt Håkansson (29 March 1919) Astrid Söderbaum (30 June 1919) Irene Söderblom (19 November 1921) Maj-Britt Thörn (2 March 1923) Bo Bjelfvenstam (24 April 1924) Erich Conard (12 May 1924) Marianne Bernadotte (15 July 1924) Meta Velander (13 August 1924) Mark Miller (20 November 1924) Bo Wärff (15 March 1925) Amy Aaröe (20 May 1925) Sten Skragge (13 August 1925) Hasse Burman (17 January 1926) Berit Frodi (19 April 1926) Nils Eklund (17 January 1927) Ragnar Ulfung (28 February 1927) Ulla-Britt Hedenberg (5 March 1927) Inga Landgre (6 August 1927) Anna-Greta Bergman (28 August 1927) Ingrid Björk (28 September 1927) Sture Ström (7 December 1927) Pretty cool that there are three centenarians alive right now. One of them, Söderbaum, actually turned 103 yesterday. From what I could find, both of the 1919 ones are in the national top 4 longest-lived actors/actresses to ever appear in a Swedish film. Sylva Åkesson (1916-2021): 104 Stein Grieg Halvorsen (1909-2013): 104 (Norwegian actor, but was in a Swedish film once) Maj-Britt Håkansson (1919-): 103 Astrid Söderbaum (1919-): 103 Elsa Sundgren (1915-2017): 102 Nini Theilade (1915-2018): 102 (Danish dancer, but was in a Swedish film once) Sally Palmblad (1908-2010): 101 (ended a looong centenarian actor drought) Martha Colliander (1888-1989): 101 (first centenarian) Ingrid Luterkort (1910-2011): 101 Guje Lagerwall (1918-2019): 100 Irene Söderblom (1921-): 100 Sven Hasselström (1889-1990): 100 (the only Swedish male centenarian) Susanna Ramel (1920-2020): 100 On a closing note, let's enjoy this pic of Söderblom in her 20s.

Unique pick for me in 2018. I didn't see him as a QO certainty, but now we know the answer. Maybe this being a Winter Olympic year helped? RIP.

    Derby Dead Pool 2022

She was my pick last year. I didn't see her as a QO certainty, but now we know the answer. RIP. Btw, my "off-game" score for the DDP appears to be 64, which is 5 points higher than my all-time score of 59. I could see myself getting past 100, and that's even if Alagiah, Whale, Nolan, Turnbull & Barkan all survive the year.

    Death By Numbers 2022

Hey. My intention was to withdraw here too, but I might as well let it continue actually. I am surprised that I'm so high up on the list, most of my hits have been big names that I assumed everyone had. I count up to 664 rather than 665, could you double-check please?

    Derby Dead Pool 2022

Hi, Is there anyway I can have my team completely removed from the DDP website? It wouldn't affect the D40 for the rest of the participants, I think. I would greatly appreciate it. See spoiler for explanation, don't wanna derail the thread.

    Horse Racing

Eric Lamaze announced his retirement (he was taking a sabbatical before that) from showjumping yesterday due to brain cancer. I know there's a difference between not being fit to play competititve sports and being at death's door, but it is still ominous when you get news like this. At least he still can work as a technical advisor... https://www.horsetalk.co.nz/2022/04/01/eric-lamaze-quitting-showjumping/

    Unlikely 2022 death

Hahahah, I forgot about that. Those likes really helped me cope with Morbidkid's critique. Almost felt like a pity fuck. On a serious note, I admit that I was meaner towards him during our spats than I should have been. He was just a teenager after all. Dunno if he visits the forum nowadays, but I would like to apologize for that, regardless of who started what argument.

    Derby Dead Pool 2022

Well done, GC, DI & GUN. Ten Drop 40 names and five uniques is pretty much the balance that I was going for. What surprised me the most is that Bouquet is a unique. Not even Vive la France has him, so that's 9 fairly easy points for a distinguished actor in poor health. Shocking. Unrelated to my own team, I was under the impression that Natalie Kwadrans was a "regular" snowboarder rather than a paralympic one.

    Predict The Drop 40

I know this wasn't an actual game but... Since msc and Shaun carried over all 24 survivors from last year, it put me at a 2 points disadvantage. When it comes to newcomers, we all correctly agreed on 5 names: Burgess, Burrow, Charlton, Field & Pele. The only incorrect names we all thought would make it was Attenborough and Poitier (although it's unclear who was msc's 41st choice). After that, the following newcomers were correctly predicted by at least one of us: Bennett: msc & Shaun Bishop: Predictor & Shaun Brown: msc & Shaun Lewis: Predictor & Shaun MacGowan: Predictor Perez: msc & Predictor Steiner: Predictor Zeman: msc & Shaun Shaun: 34 msc: 33 Predictor: 32 Congrats Shaun. My consolation for coming last is that I was the only one to guess MacGowan and Steiner. But then again, the worst prediction, objectively speaking, came from me with Jacques Delors...A basic search of previous DDP years would've told me that he is WAY less popular than I had the impression of.

Rest in peace, Robert Durst. Don't know anything about him, but I reckon he should have been knighted. Edited to add: Whoa, just read about who this man actually was. I completely take back what I said about knighthood. He wasn't British.

    Predict The Drop 40

I dropped two people from the 2021 Drop 40. Bilton felt to me like one of those "previously unknown turned flavour of the year" picks last year. I figured he isn't a household name for casual players, nor has had a serious recent deterioration in health for serious deadpoolers. I could see him getting on lots of teams, but still ousted by enough newcomers. Rolf Harris is a bit harder to motivate, just my gut feeling. I forgot about Woodward, definitely one of the contenders (and Barbara Walters in the same category of 90+ woman with dementia). Hardy is another good guess. I think Zeman is one of the names that mostly lives in this little deathlist community bubble, but has less staying power outside of it. If he was verifiably at death's door, then I'd be more convinced of his inclusion. No Poitier? He has been in the 20-region in the past few years, and I expect at least 30 teams to pick him this time.
