  4. I don't know who or what you mean... On the other hand, it's also interesting the twist that such a simple game can take, even if it's not to my liking. This game is inexhaustible. Imagine, for example, we would play a KoS with all the singles releases by Elvis Presley or Elton John - that would certainly take forever!!! But why not, we all hang out here in the DL-forum anyway, so let's play...

    Hu Jintao

    Hu's foolin' Hu?
  8. Although the first single release was always more intended as an appetizer for the upcoming album... that's how I always saw it. Of course there are exceptions. Some acts were certainly more album sellers than singles sellers, Pink Floyd is definitely one of them (with the exception of "Another brick in the wall").
  9. Well, her own fault. "Whole lotta love" would certainly have been a No.1 song in the UK as well, I guess.
  10. I just stumbled across the results of the German No. 1-Voting 1970/1971 (from July 2015!). It cannot be compared to our UK voting, because there are mostly different No. 1 songs, but „In the summertime“ also wasn't very popular. In addition, I would like to point out that „Paranoid“ and „Whole lotta love“ were No.1 hits in Germany in 1970! Very very cool! And I really like „Rose Garden“ as the forum's favorite song from 70/71. All in all this song finished 5th in the Grand Finale!!! 01. Lynn Anderson - Rose Garden 02. Daniel Gérard - Butterfly 03. Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love 04. Norman Greenbaum - Spirit in the Sky 05. Peter Maffay - Du 06. Black Sabbath - Paranoid 07. The Soulful Dynamics - Mademoiselle Ninette 08. Frijid Pink - House of the Rising Sun 09. George Harrison - My Sweet Lord 10. The Sweet - Co-Co 11. Pop Tops - Mamy Blue 12. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Hey Tonight 13. Roy Black - Dein schönstes Geschenk 14. Simon & Garfunkel - El Condor Pasa (If I Could) 15. Peret - Borriquito 16. Miguel Rios - A Song of Joy 17. Mungo Jerry - In the Summertime
  11. @ladyfiona gets a chance to catch up on her points. However, this should be and remain the exception: Incorrect voting should be named and skipped. However, the user has the opportunity to submit a new and correct vote. The rules are not difficult: + 4 and - 6 points can be awarded once a day. Of course, the constantly changing order of the songs makes the game a bit confusing, but that's the way it works and all players need to concentrate a bit. It also makes a difference whether you're playing on PC or mobile: copy, paste, delete, mark, change... it's certainly more difficult on mobile. Thanks to all users who point out minor errors or bring order to the order! Otherwise, it's nice when this game is used for fun or distraction. Your comments are great and I hope we can get through the whole 70's together!!!
  12. 31 George Harrison - My Sweet Lord 31 Edison Lighthouse – Love grows (where my Rosemary goes) +4 27 Freda Payne – Band of Gold 26 Smokey Robinson & The Miracles – Tears of a Clown 24 T.Rex – Get it on 23 Jimi Hendrix Experience – Voodoo Chile 23 Simon & Garfunkel – Bridge over troubled water 23 Rod Stewart - Maggie May 23 Dave & Ansil Collins – Double Barrel 23 Dave Edmunds – I hear you knocking 23 Diana Ross – I´m still waiting 21 Matthews Southern Comfort – Woodstock 20 Dana – All kinds of everything 20 Elvis Presley – The wonder of you 20 T.Rex – Hot love 20 The Tams – Hey girl, don´t bother me 19 Lee Marvin - Wanderin` Star 19 Mungo Jerry – Baby Jump 18 Dawn – Knock three times 17 Christie - Yellow River 17 Benny Hill - Ernie (The fastest milkman in the west) 10 Norman Greenbaum – Spirit in the sky 10 Mungo Jerry – In the summertime 08 Clive Dunn – Grandad 07 Slade – Coz I luv you -6
  13. Much luck! I really hate Slade! The next round only feels like Slade songs, plus Wizzard and Gary Glitter! I don't even know who to slaughter here first and last! Oh, that's the nice thing about Kill or Save - these little wars, discussions, feelings, exchange about music...
  14. I am not the Generation Z, but I like "Love grows". It's a catchy pop tune.
  15. Book

Magic Johnson, And Other Basketball Players

But in the AOP he was rejected
  16. The late 70s will be very hard for me to kill/reduce... Please add + 1 to Diana Ross' 20 points, Thanks!

    Ideas and possibilities for 2023

I could very well imagine that both popes will be on the list next year, because it would be one of the rare occasions when something like this is even possible. At least I would appreciate that. But we all know that the Committee rarely grants our wishes

  19. Phew, this game is really tricky
  20. @theoldlady Please add and subtract your points from the current value, e.g. 24+4=28 for George Harrison. Thanks.
  21. @ladyfiona Please +4 and -6. Please correct your vote. Please add Rolf Harris to the list. Thanks

And here I am curious who will replace Angela Lansbury in 100th place. After all, she's held that spot 8 years in a row!

    Ideas and possibilities for 2023

I'm really excited to see which women make the next list. 5 female candidates have already died this year, 3 of them were selected for the fourth time, one for the third time, so important and long-standing picks are gone. What good female candidates could they "replace" (in terms of notoriety and A-level celebrity/personality, but also cool factor and style)? Yes, apparently Tippi Hedren , but who else?
