Billy Graham's grandson injured in Iraq. Granted, it's about as much news as me having seen a Billy Graham bumper sticker last week, but he's been silent since the burial controversy anyhow.
-
Damn. He was one of my secret candidates for the WDP. Back in early February, there was one mention of him with terminal cancer that disappeared the next day.

Where Has Tempus, Godot, Everybody, Anybody Gone?
Canadian Paul replied to Windsor's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
He was fairly upset with the way the DDP was being done and getting booted from the competition (I'm not sure what his moniker was, so I don't know for sure if that's the case, but he believes it to be). That may have been enough for him to discard all this. Plus I can see how this whole forum might be tiresome to someone who's been around as long as he has. Drama is everywhere in the air, Spring Time is near. -
American actress Betty Hutton dead at age 86, of colon cancer according to some sources. Unique selection for someone or other on the DDP. EDIT: f*****g hell, wrong thread. Could the mods please move this to "The Dead?" [Pleased to be of service! - NAP]

What Are You Giving Up For Lent?
Canadian Paul replied to Godot's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
You go straight to hell. Luckily for you, as Sartre said, "Hell is other Deathlisters," so you may be alright. -
Cruz Hernandez, who claimed to be 128, has died, and was selected on the DDP as well.
-
Not to be outdone by Tammy Faye, there's a new note about Estelle Getty. Seems to be doing alright for the moment. Probably won't be a DDP or RDP hit for me this round.

Farrakhan interview. Make of it what you will.

I think it's one of those religious illustrative liberties. God will be "healing" her by taking away her pain aka. killing her. She wants people to stop praying for her to live and start praying for someone who has a chance, because her pain can only be removed by God and death. That would be my guess anyways.

Britney Spears, Kerry Katona, Heather Locklear et al.
Canadian Paul replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
I see what you are saying, but songwriters write songs, poets write poems, and playwrites write plays. It seems very unreal to me if your known as this great singer, and people know you for your songs but the truth is you never wrote one word of it. Somebody else did. It is very fake to me. If you are a song writer who doesn't sing, I don't see anything wrong with that. Because the words you write come from you. If you sing but don't write your songs, it makes a whole world of difference. What about people who act but don't write their own lines? You don't say "Man, the writer who writes for Kramer had such a great line on the show the other night." You say, "Man, Kramer said the funniest thing." There's different kinds of talent out there. Economics calls it specialization, where you do whatever you're relatively good at. Maybe Joe is a better singer and a better songwriter than John, but the world is better off if Joe does what he is more relatively better at - maybe that's singing - than if he wastes time trying to sing and write songs. More of both goods are produced (singing and songs) if each one sticks to what they do best instead of trying to do both. -
I think I found the definitive word on the quality of Gallo Wines in my pocket today. I pulled out the receipt for the $7.00 (3.5 pound) bottle I bought and noticed that attached was a coupon for $4.00 (2 pounds) off my next purchase of Gallo Wine. Effectively, they believe that in order to entice me to buy it again, they'll have to pay for more than half of my next bottle. Well they're wrong. I'll really need them to pay for the whole bottle, along with another beverage so that I can chase it down.

Well after all that effort that TF put into fixing the site to include John Inman, the poor chap has rewarded the hard work by dying. A unique hit for CarolAnn puts her in joint third place in the Ordinary Team category.

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries ,etc ...for 2007
Canadian Paul replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Happy birthday RM! Since you're a Myspace fan, I thought appropriate birthday sexiness might entail The Girls of Myspace. Very NSFW by the way. -
Well with all the commotion around Ernest Gallo, we missed out on Tammy Faye becoming a SENIOR CITIZEN! today! And as a gift to us all, she's provided us with a wonderful new note.
-
Back down Canadian Paul, you'll find out it doesn't pay to be a loser. Well I was going to say Michael Foot because I had a dream about him dying last night, but then I thought I'd save the BS for BS.
-
Lady Bird Johnson, just to be different.

New addition: Gallo wine. The Merlot is better than the white, but that's about the equivalent of saying getting a finger cut off is better than getting your thumb cut off. Hopefully the next time I decide to do a tribute to someone, it'll be someone who doesn't make sh*t wine.

Not a single vote for Gallo! Ah well, on to the next poll!

Hit #1 for DL 2007!

Deathlist Forum Milestone
Canadian Paul replied to Magere Hein's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well we're past it now. My guess is that it happened around the end of February? EDIT: Assuming that by "posts" MPFC meant "hits." -
Bad News Allen gets some bad news at age 63 - he's dead.
-
This guy isn't on the list of 36, but he's dead anyhow.

Lights out for Jughead.
