Oh christ. He's got that Gollum look that I've only ever seen in one other person: Alex Higgins in the year/six-months-or-so before he died. I wouldn't have recognised Paul Orndorff because he's before my time but he doesn't really look too bad for an ex-pro-wrestler.

Some Iranian politician you've never heard of, but he seemed to be at cabinet level, and so it's the biggest assassination in Iranian politics for a few years. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/10/safdar-rahmat-abadi-dead_n_4251623.html?utm_hp_ref=world No-one seems to have claimed responsibility yet.

That picture is from two years ago! They visited the White House in 2011 to be belatedly "congratulated" for their victory, because Reagan couldn't receive them at the time (as was the custom) because he was dealing with the Challenger disaster (which happened two days after the Bears won the Super Bowl) http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/44/post/obama-to-play-host-to-1985-chicago-bears-at-white-house/2011/10/07/gIQAtnwaSL_blog.html What's going on here? I swear the other day, PB posted something that was dead old as news. -
We are nothing if not patient. I think you'll find he's the patient.

That would be to try and minimise the sheer number of entries, I guess.

That's funny. I'd rather die before I appear on Who Do You Think You Are?
-
When do entries for 2014 open?

It is a pity he did not live longer because surely he would have been the first person to go to for the theme tune to the latest James Bond film. He could have formed a "Skyfall" band. Obviously an Adele fan - he even included her picture.

I got 7 out of 10. Most important thing was that I got the one right. That was an incredible sentence... I did some Googling, turns out it's from a BBC obit that they had prepared years earlier, in anticipation of his possible death. -
The guest was joking. Although, Morris Day only looks half-black, so who knows, it's quite possible. Maybe Doris Day did like a little "Jungle Love" back in the.......uh... day.

TMZ tweeted it too, sad loss. Wonder if they'll write out Mrs Krabappel? Aaw. I was just watching the "Ned-liest Catch" episode on Sky1 yesterday, in which Flanders falls for Edna. Very good for a recent episode. And what about all those classic gags where Skinner and Krabappel get it on. I love that episode where they first get together and they end up barricading themselves in the school, and then Skinner comes out with a "bomb" that's made out of hot dogs.

Given how long he lived, I'm guessing it wasn't a very pressing "interview".

I meant moribund in terms of entertainment on offer. I know they somehow make money from it.... you don't need to remind me, I've sent numerous letters to CERN asking them to investigate how that's actually possible.

I love that "Windmills" song! Fuck. RIP

http://en.wikipedia....fatal_accidents There was a bit of a minor "edit war" at Wikipedia whether to include Maria de Villota on the list of fatal F1 crashes. I remember looking last week and she was on the list, then she was off it, and on, and now she seems to be off again permanently. Which absolutely makes no sense whatsoever because all reports seem to indicate that she died from a lingering injury related to the crash. Just because she died over a year later that doesn't mean she survived the accident did she? Seems like the lunatics always win at Wikipedia. I mean, what about that Hillsborough guy? Tony Whateverhisnamewas, who died 4 years later when they finally decided to switch the ventilator off. Nobody says he "survived". Wikipedia edit wars don't usually excite me but since it's motorsport, a subject I feel marginally passionate about, and the fact that it's basically the 1st active F1 driver fatality since Senna...

Wow... I've never seen a pic of them smiling that much. As recently as yesterday I felt slightly bad/"guilty" because I used to suspect/perceive them to be unbearable pricks who are actually enjoying their fame which comes from the disappearance of their own daughter. That pic really is terrible, the only thing missing is them holding up a glass of champagne each. I guess this is a good time to remind everyone that they actually left her alone in the hotel while they went for a meal. Just in case you forgot after all this time, or didn't know. Because the media didn't exactly hammer home that key point/detail at the time did they? Because they didn't want those irksome little things called "facts" getting in the way of them having a couple of new heartstring-tugging world champions of the grief/pity circuit..... Maybe one of them will go on "I'm a Celebrity" this year? You know, just to raise awareness.

I went with Henry Kissinger, just out of wishful thinking I guess.

Guess I might as well do the poll thread this time. Who's next?
