Ruska inducted in Judo Hall of Fame. ISTM this may well be the kiss of death. The interesting bit is: I know Mr Ruska hasn't been well since he suffered a stroke, but apparently he can't travel to Brazil. regards. Hein

A number ending in 9, like 9 and 99. Oh, and 69, of course. regards, Hein

If the right people want him dead he´ll die. When enough people with enough determination want him dead, they´ll find the right people. I think his release has reduced his chance of survival to 2014. regards, Hein

Hmm, Canterbury. Never been there. I'll consider the trip, there might be some tales in it. Food and Drink are always in fashion at DLCs, so that should work. regards, Hein

In this case China, actually. Anyway, the little shit is IP-banned. regards, Hein

Then again, that baptism thingy may belong to his brother or father. regards, Hein

Interesting proposal. I appreciate the practicality of it. On the other hand I don´t quite like renaming a topic from a person to something more general. It can be removed, of course, but the label dead seems unfitting for an operation that's very much alive. The right thing would be a split. I invite any of our fine moderators to perform that chore. regards, Hein

One month later. Inconsiderate that. Not a chance for us deadpoolers. regards, Hein

Read Any Good Books Lately?

Just finished Umberto Eco's The Prague Cemetery. I know Eco isn't everybody's cuppa, but I quite enjoyed the read. As any good book, it's mainly about other books. regards, Hein -
Not quite right, I learned this morning. Prince Friso will be buried Friday, in a private ceremony in Lage Vuursche. ETA: I read in the paper that King Harald of Norway will attend. At 76 he's apparently fit enough for travel. regards, Hein

I suppose the right answer is: yes. The Dutch government hasn't announced funeral plans yet. He'll probably be buried in Delft next week. I don't expect it to be a repeat of Queen Juliana's funeral, but I think there'll be enough furrin royalty to gawk at. regards, Hein

Hmm, "died of complications related to the hypoxic brain injury", eh. The idea that they´d (whoever they are) switched him off did cross my mind. His royal bro´s on holiday in Greece, I´m told, one would expect better coordination. WA has been remarkably quiet BTW. Of course I considered him for my Theme Team, but I thought I had enough dodgy picks. Of course Friso´s obitability wasn´t the point, but I didn´t expect he´d buy the farm so soon. My flyer in HPDP paid, though. ETA: The bit below the subject line in the list now shows: dead vegetable. Must be a comment on Dutch cuisine. regards, Hein

Last things first: I have no idea what Viz is; a periodical, I presume. Your post makes absolutely no sense to me. Apology accepted, though. This forum has a good tradition of tolerance of provincialism. Two out of three ain't bad... One of the reasons I've stayed around as long as I have is that this forums is one of the few I know where strong opitions are exchanged without deteriorating in ugly name calling. Well, not often, anyway. We don't agree much on death related things, and not at all on things life related. regards, Hein -
Today in 117 Roman general Marcus Ulpius Traianus died, aged 63. From 27 January 98 he was emperor Trajan. regards, Hein

So Tu and Wed, in the middle of the week. And getting to Calais... It's possible, but not quite what I have in mind. I need some persuasion. I'll pick you up in Antwerp. I understand Wednesday/Thursday might suit Six better. That might do it. What kind of time table are you thinking of? regards, Hein
