good point made here.....I feel a few hits are just over the horizon . And I think those that picked the 2 Iraqis and a tragic cancer girl just weren't playing the game properly

A man once had a dog that he loved very much. One day, the dog fell suddenly ill and died. Not wanting to believe it, he took Fido to his trusted veteranarian. The doctor examined the dog carefully and, with much sadness, confirmed that he had indeed passed away. Tearfully, the man demanded a second opinion. With all the compassion of his long years in the field, the doctor nodded and left the exam room. Shortly, he returned with a labrador in tow. The retriever walked around the other dog, sniffing here and there as he went. With a sadness in his eyes of the sort that can be mustered only by those of his breed, he looked up at the man, shook his head, and walked out. Now nearing hysterical grief, the man asked for a third opinion. With great patience, the doctor left, this time returning with an old tabby that had been the office pet for many long years. The cat walked around the dog, carefully examining him and, with tail twitching ruefully, confirmed the diagnosis. Finally facing reality, the man began to write out a check for the usual fee. Seeing him due so, the doctor said, as tactfully as he could, "Actually, this visit will be $1500." "$1500?!" exclaimed the grief-stricken man, "Why, my visits never cost a penny more than $45!" "Yes, sir, but that charge doesn't include lab work or cat scans."

I've checked & checked. Nothing for him I find this very surprising...they showed a clip of him officiating at a World Snooker final on the local tele on his death day(ok...so I live in Sheffield...and the Crucible is the only claim to fame Sheffield has....but even so..) I recognised him for goodness sake ...he MUST deserve an obit

Didn't realise Kollek was mentioned in the posts...no doubt its those saddos CP and MPFC who seem to spend 25 hours a day searching out the old and crippled Seeing the footage of Mr Smyth brought back memories . He really was the face of snooker refs in the 70/80s.....to be honest , I'm surprised he was only 78 .

wouldn't do this if he was close to death......
-
well....no one had him last year...
-
Question. Would you vote for the killing of all dogs everywhere ??
-
anyone else claiming a DDP hit ? ...we have to play with ourselves for a few days , seeing as there are so many entries !
-
You're fooking joking! Really? It was reported as a main news story on Calendar (local Yorkshire TV channel )...He died in Chesterfield , I think...they showed a clip of him as a ref at the crucible .....he will be front page on the Yorkshire tabloids !

I don't have either on mine so... GO ON, LET 'EM OFF! PLEASE! Yeah...I think they are both innocent and there is a potential massive miscarriage of justice here . This opinion is in no way connected to me not picking them in ANY of the 4 DP's that I have recently entered . However...bearing in mind that TMIB has already got a DDP hit ...the fact he is missing these 2 criminals shouldn't hurt his prospects Yeah I got it...last year! ah well, my team is for a whole year, not the first week...nil desperandum not with you TMIB...? You have a unique DDP hit.....catapaulting you to the top of the leader board I admit ...this will be short lived when most of my super - dooper picks stop breathing...but...a hit is a hit !!

well...this sites home page is so exciting , I need to sit down . From a 5 sec glance , I tend to think that the chances of an obit at this site in the next 3 months are slim . However , Mr Smyth will make the nationals tomorrow , have no fear .

Was he ? I didn't actually see him(dont watch such drivel) , but I heard him . Sounded ok...but maybe he is a little frail . The rough and tumble of the House might see him off
