    Richard O'Sullivan

Well I dont think he looks too bad at all . Only a little frail with a slightly scraggy neck . Eyes seem focused and bright . Doubt if he gets much nowadays...but hey ...who does (and Im way younger than him )

My teenage daughters LOVED Twilight...I thought it was silly . Each to their own , I suppose.

    World's Oldest

Not true, Both Bolden and Calment regained the title after losing it. See final paragraph. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar%C3%ADa_Capovilla All seems a bit random with these 2 bit Jonny Foriegners....I think we all need to get behind Henry...who is as honest as the day is long !

Ay carumba! Ela está morta?!¿¡ (Edit: Inglês Link) Hooray para Henry, ele é o número 18 mais antigo no mundo!¡! Sorry...but I dont speak French...does that mean Henry is now Number 1 ???

    Paul Gascoigne

He looks in remarkably fine health in my opinion . Just because he likes a drink doesn't mean deaths door beckons . I like a drink.....and I expect to last months I think anyone who has picked Gazza is WAY wide of the mark . I do agree with you somewhat, however I have picked him because he has tended in the recent past to have dips into twattish behaviour - and one of these could easily result in a sudden rush of points to my team. I agree he is a big scorer potentially...but I just think he is a too risky pick (a bit like Amy WhineWarehouse)

    Mel Smith

That was a VERY interesting 10 mins ! I cant remember if I posted a couple of years ago re Mel....but I'm sure he looked a bit dodgy when I last saw him on tele (Children in Need or something?) Anyway....him and Jones reminded me of the 2 Ronnies at the end of Ronnie Barkers life....1 of the pair was really up for it....the other was going downhill fast . Move on a year or so....and this is what Mel is at (even worse than before !) .... I reckon someone out there can comment better on his appearence , but for me he is recovering(?) from a stroke . Not sure what the deep voice points to though.....also his "nodding head" was odd....bit like my Mother-in Law..... However , his mental abilities seem ok , so perhaps nothing to get too excited about....but one to watch all the same .

    Seen Any Good Films Lately?

Thanks for this grob. I was going to go see it but will save myself the money now. Watched Roman Holiday last night (I'm with Typhoid Harry on New Year's Eve - well not "with" him but in agreement with his "amateur night" remarks). Audrey Hepburn - what a girl. Eddie Albert was good too and the scene with the Mouth of Truth - what a scene. They don't pace films as slowly as this any more and that's a shame. I've heard mixed reports about it. Cinematography is supposed to be excellent, but Nicole's panned for a wooden performance, although I've heard that the character she portrays is supposed to behave that way, so arguably, she did a good job. I haven't seen it so I can't comment. I did hear that the DL-ladies (and a few boys) might like Hugh Jackman. Unfortunately, no razor-sharp blades extrude from his fists in this one. I suspect senora honez will drag me along at some stage before it disappears off into DVD land. Does he get his shirt off though? That's all I need to know. Yes....in one scene he gives himself a good long soaking.... Its nearly 3 hours long....and its a film about nothing . Camera work is ok....and the scenery is pretty.....but its really not worth the effort !

    Patrick Swayze

Watching the tele last night in a drunken stupor , I came across "100 Greatest love scenes" (or something like that anyway....) Number 1 was Patrick in Ghost when he fondles loads of clay....number 4 (ish) was Patrick when he teaches whatsherface to dance in Dirty Dancing . THIS WAS ALL ONLY A FEW YEARS AGO!!! Go Patrick.....many years left yet with your top off I reckon.....

    Richard O'Sullivan

Not sure about that, but look at the state of that Keith Salberg guy in the picture with Parky. The man was a top showbiz agent. surely he'll get an obit. It was on the basis of this post that I picked him ! Thanks MPFC ....

    Seve Ballesteros

Certainly not out of the woods yet. Far from it, I'd say. From this report he seems to acknowledge that there's an end approaching. http://www.laht.com/article.asp?CategoryId...rticleId=324326 Good call for 2009, I say. Another pitch and a putt, and it's all over for Seve. Totally disagree.......he will be walking the long fairway for many years yet I reckon....

It took me a few minutes to work out what to do....I was clicking on pictures and then typing names If you had a good memory , you could score well just by typing in names of people you knew who had passed on.....which is a bit of a cheat (though to be honest , thats all I did at the end....otherwise I would have scored 8) I only got Bernie Mac and Tim Russert through BC Alum's constant posting about them and remembered Crichton at the last minute. The only ones I should have got and didn't were Hoffman and Bo Diddly, the others I missed were people I'd never heard of. I didn't get Fossett either because I thought he died in 07. Bo Didd was one of my "key a name in and see if it fits"....
