Thanks Gary, sorry to hear this. Appreciate this as with Geoff living in the Netherlands, it wouldn't have got picked up in the GRO/wills -
A friend of hers on twitter seemed to suggest it was a natural death and not suicide, FWIW.

It's the Daily Mail so I didn't want to get too exposed by actually reading it

There is a video with this on Facebook but I can't immediately find it. Here's the stills but the video is more telling I think. Hopefully someone can find it https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10928137/amp/Dick-Van-Dyke-96-says-hes-glad-here.html

I can see the site has been updated for Trintignant's death, but the scoreboard hasn't, or is that a problem that only I can see?

Bertie Wright has died, aged 102. Not sure if it's linked to the lack of proper mask-wearing.... https://twitter.com/Glentoran/status/1538176528709730304 -
All I could think about when reading this list was mmmm.. fried bacon (Best said in a Homer Simpson drawl...)

I think there's a online French death index somewhere but blow me if I can remember what it's called. I'm sure it's popped up on here before.

The 2nd source is good enough for me, as it even gives place of death. Good work! Just amazed there was nothing in Yugoslav media

The thing is with the probate records is - correct me if I'm wrong - it depends on if it's a joint will or the type of will? GRO has my Grandad dying in 2015, which I can use as a verifiable source.https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp#Results But if I look on probate search only, he's not there at all. https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/search-results it's only when my Grandma died a few years later, that the will was actioned. -

Don't think so. I think GRO will tidy this up as the probate search doesn't have every death on there as I have found with other footballers or racers Depends when he died in December if he even makes GRO in 2021 or not... That dead link about his birthday was from Wakefield so I do think it's a different chap. -

Yep, link's in the above post. Whilst clearing up a few things, I see Maurice Leather died in 2021 - https://www.football-addict.com/en/article/portsmouth-fc/we-are-deeply-saddened-to-learn-of-the-passing-of-former-pompey-goalkeeper-maurice-leather-aged-91/616c72344794fe0009999897?utm_campaign=rss -

Well, Hugman has Simpson dying in 2021. I can't see anything to confirm that -yet- but I would imagine GRO will confirm it in time. Crucially it puts his death place as Wakefield, where he lived, so I have no reason to doubt it. Barring any info suddenly coming about, then it does look like Bailey IS the oldest http://barryhugmansfootballers.com/player/18049 I haven't had much time first half of the year to dedicate to the pre-1932 born footballer s but I will in next few months. -

I'm nevet going by a Wikipedia list as proof, but I will say that apart from that news article (now a dead link) about his 100th birthday, there's been nothing else about Simpson. Smith... Probably dead but hard to know for certain. It would be good if someone officially confirmed it, like the EFL or the like. -
Peter McParland is the only living member of that squad now for I have found this regards Bobby Trainor: https://www.facebook.com/400368657473475/posts/once-again-i-make-no-apologies-at-looking-back-on-the-career-of-castledawsons-fi/709356023241402/ But unfortunately, a family member's comment on Facebook is not good enough for Wikipedia standards.

Worth mentioning that Patricia Brake, mentioned in the Mollie Sugden thread as having died, was also in Eldorado, Coronation Street and EastEnders. One of the main characters in Eldorado. -

Hard to say. If they've copied it from Wikipedia, then no, but this may be the original information that led to the Wiki info. I'd prefer something in Serbian myself to be sure.

Brian Bedford, best known for his spell at QPR, where he became their second highest goalscorer, has died. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/brian-bedford-rip-180522/%3fdisplayMode=GoogleAmp Also played for Reading, Bournemouth and a few other clubs.

Daily Mail weighs in too: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10793069/amp/George-Perez-Marvel-DC-comics-artist-writer-dead-67.html Third hit for me in a thus far rather dismal return to the DDP.
