Definitely dead is Naci Erdem https://www.fenerbahce.org/haberler/futbol/2022/3/basimiz-sag-olsun-naci-erdem-i-kaybettik I'm hoping there's an article that refers to how many 1954 Turkish survivors there are as I'm not quite convinced there's so many still alive.

George Pease, 4th Baron Gainford, died on the 12th March, aged 95. Worked as an architect and town planner and although he is from the Pease family in Darlington (whose number include former Grand Prix driver Al Pease), he spent much of his working life in Scotland and indeed died in Perth. https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/announcements/deaths/deaths/20016410.George__4th_Lord_Gainford_PEASE/

Reports coming via Facebook that 1970's Grand Prix driver Reine Wisell has died. Suspect it's true by the names of the Swedish journalists who are posting it but nothing confirmed yet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reine_Wisell Edit - confirmed but this is a subscription site. https://www.svd.se/racinglegendaren-reine-wisell-dod Died suddenly which makes sense as I wasn't aware he was Ill

Told you - Times obituary https://archive.ph/SRYSn Never doubt OoO with F1 DL information
-
Thanks, but although I met him a few times, I didn't know him well. But he will be much, much missed by the sport overall.
-
I can guarantee he will obit. It's all written, just needs publishing. I would have picked him myself as the poor chap was doomed, but just could not bring myself to be pleased at points at his passing.
-
I did suggest him for DL as it was no secret how poorly he was but I guess he didn't fit the DL criteria. Tremendous shame and he will be much missed.
-
I would say though, based on above evidence, he has a good chance of being here in 2023 and is unlikely to be a 2022 hit.
-
Looks well here. Certainly seems active mentally and although he has a walking stick, note https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/news/dumbledores-here-michael-gambon-pays-visit-to-kent-pub-263848/

And the Boys of 66 squad pull one back of the German squad

Exactly what I was thinking earlier this evening, both with DL and Pember.

I'm not defending male misogyny but plenty of women use horseface as an insult to other ladies. In SJP's case it seems almost, rightly or wrongly, as a description of who is whom in Sex and the City 'Horseface, the blonde one, the ginger one and the other one'

You'd think but remember how Paula Tilbrook was long dead before it was actually announced. -

Also in Last of the Summer Wine for years. Sorry to hear she's not well. A vastly underrated comic actress. Routledge and Barker are undeniably brilliant, but you need someone to bounce off or to be your foil and she did that quite magnificently. -
Well considering it's not starting for another 8 months, he won't be looking good at all

Gordon Lee laid the foundations for Everton's success in the 1980's for it was he who bought or debuted Ratcliffe, Sharp and Kevin Richardson. Howard Kendall turned them into champions, but at least he had the framework in place to work from. Not like last night's mess
-
I recognised the face and the name but I couldn't place where exactly from until I remembered he was in North and South as Tillett Main. Sorry to hear this (presuming it is indeed confirmed).
-
Oh no! I knew Tim very well through his motor racing writing, we corresponded for many years. It doesn't say anything in the above but he wrote many motor racing books and very well too. RIP.

Billy Boyle has died according to Wikipedia one day after his 77th birthday, but I can't see any other mention on t'web. Maybe it should go into the "Dead on Wikipedia..." thread. If confirmed, well, I could have put him in a number of threads, including pop stars (he made a few records), theatre (a regular in musicals), soap actors (in EastEnders and Corrie), British Character Actors, the Father Ted thread and so on. But his only mention on the forum thus far was on this thread, so in here he goes:

Bob Wellings sadly didn't make it to 88. Apparently health took a downturn after a fall at the end of 2021. https://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2022-03-04/former-anglia-tv-presenter-bob-wellings-dies
