Johnny Williamson has died - https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.mancity.com/news/club/former-manchester-city-striker-johnny-williamson-passes-away-63765662 -
A few of these are gone already and Gerry Ashmore has joined them. I’m sad to report that Gerry Ashmore has died, aged 85. He raced 3 #F1 GPs in a privateer Lotus 18 in ’61: 16th at Nürburgring (pic) & 2 DNFs. He also entered the car for the non-championship #NaplesGP that year, bagging pole & finishing 2nd. #RIPGerryAshmore https://t.co/Lxgs18y1IC Died yesterday according to a Google 'last 24 hours' search

Maybe it's better in that thread, but I think William Simpson died in late 2019 or 2020 but can't check the GRO. I suspect the oldest is 101 year old Graham Bailey but in the oldest footballers thread I seem to recall a Spanish ex Barcelona player who was either 100 or 101 recently. Edit - https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/news/976331/barcas-oldest-former-player?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=fc barcelona&utm_campaign=262bcf0e-0825-4894-90b9-df375f2fd517 102 years old so he's Drol's man.

1982, of course. He wasn't, as far as one is aware, a time traveller.

Wilfred van Moer, one of Belgium's best strikers and a rare beast in that he played in the 1970 & 1882 World Cups has died https://new.in-24.com/sport/soccer/amp/151934

Elmer George and Ricardo Londono Bridge, Jackie Pretorius, Henry Pens are four names I can think of that died instantly or of injuries of gunshot wounds.

I lived near Hungerford in 1987 and remember the terror everyone felt. Thursday's news brought that back. Utterly terrible situation especially the little girl. -
There's a picture in that obituary which shows a clearly poorly Jenkins in May. It's noticeable how awful Robin Miller looks too - he has terminal cancer and leukemia as well. https://racer.com/2021/07/31/miller-a-letter-to-the-racer-nation/ Mario Andretti and Roger Penske, mind you, look extremely well.

McRae has died https://www.velocitynews.co.nz/graham-mcrae-passes-away/ Can also be posted in the chequered flag thread but once is enough.

That photo is actually from 2019, its since been confirmed.

Only Godfrey James who died in GRO index in 2019 was born in 1938. https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp#Results I suspect 2020 deaths are coming soon to GRO as they're doing a lot of maintenance and that note about births being online has gone...

Indeed. It was myself who discovered it and updated Wiki just days before Boniperti passed. If you look at the edit history and then the other things I be done you'll see they have a theme ...

Well, this doesn't bode well even if he gets through this.

Emiliano Sala's sister, Romina, in 'serious condition' in hospital - https://www.infobae.com/deportes/2021/07/06/romina-la-hermana-de-emiliano-sala-esta-internada-en-santa-fe/ EDIT - La Nacion newspaper reports it as a suicide attempt. A cursed family; what must the mother of Emiliano and Romina be going through? -

Jock Aird has died. https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/content/john-jock-aird-1926-2021 This also rules out Billy O'Neill as living, not that anyone really thought he was still with us. Greenwood and Jim Smith were on Burnley's books but never played a game. -
I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

May definitely had more notable deaths than Arghtons list with only a few I've heard of. But Kenny K is quite a famous name. -
That's funny as he's just written his latest newspaper column whilst entering hospice care. Impressive. Can't you be reported for this kind of bollocks? Cecilia also said Douglas Hurd was gravely ill two months ago
-
Sorry to hear this. He popped up in almost everything! I remember him as the chauffeur in Love Hurts amongst other shows.
