Gordon Cowans has taken a detoriation (from X); Gordon Cowans is in a nursing home as his dementia takes a stronger hold. Goodness Sid you deserve much better for all that skill you gave us on the pitch and the laughs off the pitch. You maybe not able to remember much but we will remember always. God bless Sid

Is the question, who is the person who had the most famous partner, or is it who is the most famous widow/widower? If the latter: Jeffrey Durham David Sherlock Judy Loe If the former: The widows of Sean Lock and Rik Mayall would likely live for a while yet

Darby, Rob Burrow and Marcus Stewart in a photo here: - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-68647460 Stewart looks alright, Darby wheelchair bound... Rob Burrow - looks utterly terrible. I'd be shocked if he makes it to 2025. -
Musso is still alive, but it appears only just. From instagram 2 weeks ago: The great Braulio Musso will be hospitalized in the next few hours due to his poor health condition. The remarkable player from the University of Chile and the Chilean National Team, who is 94 years old today, is not in good health. I send from here my respects and affection for whoever was a super class on and off the court. Much strength to him and his family, in addition to those who were part of the iconic Ballet Azul and the Chilean National Team of 62'.

Likely fake. Been dead since the 15th with no new outlets reporting it? Doubt it.

@Chriswba West Brom Geoff Barnsley is definitely still alive - only played one for WBA, but is a legend for Plymouth, born 9th December 1935, so at 88, he's the oldest. Aston Villa There is someone with a Villa link over 90 still alive ( I believe) - Dave Richardson, who was a coach during Graham Taylor's era, Definitely alive in 2017, born 11th March 1932. Peter McParland, the legendary Northern Irish striker, is the oldest living Villa player, born 25th April 1934. Jack Willis, who played once, is apparently still alive, born 28th May 1934. Bill Beaton (1935) appears to be alive; definitely was in 2015. -

Chris, I will check both clubs tonight. West Brom definitely don't have a player alive who was born before 1935, I checked that after Gerry Summers' death. -

Sad, but fully expected.

Following on from the Ideas and Possibilities thread, Steve Harley of Cockney Rebel fame has a 'nasty' cancer. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=100058063000040 All tour dates cancelled. Famous enough in my opinion without being lumped into a generic music thread.

Was going to keep this to myself but I doubt he'll make 2025. Ted Toleman, founder of the Toleman team that completed in the early 1980's is now in palliative care and near the end of his life.

Thanks, I think this was correct but will just cross reference accordingly. -
Neophyte has died, according to this: https://m.novinite.com/articles/224834/Shocking+News%3A+Bulgarian+Patriarch+Neophyte+Has+Passed+Away Not sure I would call it 'shocking' news.

Scheckter is not just selling the cars, he's also selling the buffalo herd at Laverstoke, with the meat and dairy products no longer available. This all seems quite drastic unless he's in some severe financial trouble, in serious ill health, or more boringly, wants to sell up and relax in his dotage and enjoy different things.
-
Very sorry to read this. Aside from Star Wars, he had a fine resume of work.
-
Ian's fine. Last spoke to him last summer. Playing a lot of golf currently.
-
Jody Scheckter is selling his entire car collection. This comes as a surprise as he used to run them to promote his Laverstoke Park speed weekend and it was generally thought he'd hang onto them. Could be nothing, could be just raising funds or it could be the racing driver version of selling their house https://www.topgear.com/car-news/formula-one/check-out-fabulous-selection-jody-scheckters-racing-cars-headed-auction

One for @Ulitzer95 and @michael featherstone Whilst scrolling through a few names for 1933 etc., Alan Rushby, born 27/12/1933, ex-Bradford PA, Mansfield, and Doncaster is this man on Director Check. The same town is listed on The Gazette's deceased estates webpage so I am pretty confident it's the same man. -

Lincoln City's official historian has put the oldest 10 living players. No surprise re. Killin and Harbertson, but this confirms Ray Bell (b. 1930), who played just one league appearance is dead. Unlike some of the other poorly researched soundbites from clubs, this is a long-time historian, so I'd feel pretty confident Bell is dead. -
