    Significant Others

Isn't this a phrase that means exactly the opposite of what it says? As in: with all due respect, i.e. go f'uck yourself. That's my reading whenever I see it.

    World War I Veteran(s)

No. There are still hundreds of survivors in each participating nation. Fair enough. My topic-initiating total shall remain resolutely at 1. I suppose if you really wanted you could open a thread for reporting the deaths of WW11 notables... Like who? Most of the notables are dead, except Vera Lynn who has her own thread. There are a few VCs covered elsewhere on the forum, the odd U-boat skipper, also covered elsewhere, a few survivors from high profile actions, also covered elsewhere. As you said we're nowhere near the last few as in the WW1 survivors. But most of those left of the notables are covered in other categories.

Countryside - a word invented by Stephen Fry to describe the murder of Piers Morgan - were it to happen.

More of a training video for this thread. But you can't fault them for trying.

    Dominick Dunne

Unless first he happens to be convicted of some concealed crime just as he dies, in which case the deadline might be Dominick Undunne. I know, but I'm bored. And if his crime is uncovered just before he takes his last flight, which then crashes in flames, the deadline could be: "Dominick flies Undunne."

    Room 101

There was also an advert on TV showing a motorbike doing something very similar, the "Now you see him, now you don't" one. I thought at the time, how is that the car driver's fault? Then you see the stupid bastards making their own lane down the white lines on the motorway to undertake the cars in the outside lane. No wonder motorcycists make up a good proportion of the roadkill. If it's possible to overtake on the inside a car in the outside overtaking lane of the motorway that car shouldn't be there. All too often, however, there is some arsehole hogging an overtaking lane when they should have come in. I don't think the police mind because it slows down all the traffic and they like that. But people who flout lane discipline should be blasted off the face of the Earth reprimanded.

    Louise Bourgeois

Like this thread. Wouldn't this be better off in the artists thread? I can't imagine a long, fascinating discussion on the life and times of Louise Bourgeois.
