Isn't that Lizzie Bolden these days?

Race horse trainer David "Duke" Nicholson has died of a suspected heart attack at the age of 67

What, again? It's a perpetual game of cat and mouse with those two. I doubt de Capovilla will return in a hurry to try and regain her title
-
I think we should do no such thing. I doubt anything will happen in the coming hours. You've also typed into this site that Gerald Ford's death in imminent for several months now and it's not got you anywhere. Obituaries are often prepared months or even years in advance and updated every so often if a milestone in the person's career or life is achieved. I opt we should all go put the kettle on, put our feet up and relax from the momentary excitement that Maria Esther de Capovilla's death gave us.

She's got Tony Blair's backing

I tried looking on the Guardian website a couple of hours ago and couldn't find anything. At first I was starting to think it was another hoax until I saw the article on CNN this morning.
-
There is a link on the BBC website for Maria de Capovilla, however it's an audio & video link. Not quite a write-up.

Jerry Maren was at the Minnesota State Fair yesterday. Looked healthy, but not very happy as not many people were stopping to get his autograph. Also he seems to be taking longer breaks in between his daily appearances at the state fair. -
Indeed she has died. Her death has now been reported on CNN

It really hasn't been a good week for cricketers, that's the third one this week
-
She's not been too well the past couple of years, although it's been nothing life threatning. She flatly denies that it's anything cancerous that she's having operated on.

I take it that this would preclude news of a miracle recovery, such as "King of Tonga said to be in superb health as he is towed back to Nuku'alofa" ? And you have to admit, he's much more entertaining than Gerald Ford. The Chuckle Brothers are more entertaining than Gerald Ford Oh come on now, do the Chuckle Brothers invade your dreams and force you to think they're young and robust? No No No, you're confusing The Chuckle Brothers with the minions of Cthulhu

imdb killed off Jeffrey Combs?? one of the few actors who can turn a serious horror story into a comedy imdb is often wrong too as that partially relies on subscriber edits

Not a good week for cricketers, as former opener for India, Vijay Mehra has died of a heart attack at the age of 68

Jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson has died at the age of 78. Most people might recognise him from playing the theme to the movie "Rocky"

Apparently Patrick aggrees with it., so I'd say this is a good place to post about it. Much as I respect and admire Patrick Moore, I totally disagree with his assessment of Pluto. I feel very strongly about this, although I'm not quite sure why. I think Pluto should fall out of the sun's orbit in protest. Where is all this going to end - Jupiter? Isn't Mercury about the same size as Pluto? if that's the case then Mercury should be struck off the list

Anyone want to buy a bike? I wonder if it will have a basket, a bell that rings and some things to make it look good
-
You know, he looked younger and healthier in my dream too. Perhaps Gerald Ford is a more powerful being than we had previously imagined. Perhaps he, like Cthulhu, can invade our minds when we sleep and he's using his powers to convince us that he's young and robust for whatever sick, twisted purposes he has. Aiiiii Yog Sothoth!!

I wonder if they'll do an interview with Venetia Phair to find out how she feels about it

I Thought They Were Supposed To Be Killing Off Pluto...

Pluto no longer a planet, say astronomers
