    Nicholas Parsons

Looked in great shape on Pointless today, can't believe he's 89. Better than his partner Rick Wakeman, anyway.
  3. BeretBleu

    Gianluca Vialli

Former football player ( Sampdoria, Juventus , Chelsea) and coach ( Chelsea) thread. In November 2018, Vialli revealed that he had successfully overcome a year-long battle with cancer. In October 2019, Vialli confirmed he was still suffering from pancreatic cancer.

    King Constantine II of Greece

King Constantine II of Greece, king of Greece from 1964–1973. He turns 83 years old next year and has been seen using a wheelchair for a while now. He was in hospital in 2018 after having a stroke. And was in hospital with covid-19 in January this year. He did not attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II this year. I don't think he has much time left.

    Cardinal George Pell

If Savile and Rolf have their own threads, Pell deserves one, too. George Pell is 77 years old, has heart trouble (though that may have been a sham to avoid flying home to face trial) and is due to have knee reconstruction work. Yet to be sentenced though judging by the judge's comments, he's had it: 10 years is the standard sentence for this kind of crime, putting him at 87 when he is released.

    Phil Spector

Hiyall Phil Spectre Darlings just love the wacko jacko banter - while we're on the topic of flakey celebs under threat of incarceration what about the mentally balanced Phil Spectre. No way will he get off. Dixie comes to us all wearing Pixie Boots

    Evel Knievel

An encouraging documentary on Evel Knievel earlier on Channel 5. Evel is apparently on 48 pills a day, had a liver transplant, has a wife 33 years his junior and, even though in his mid-sixties, is talking of that one last jump 2005 would be the perfect year for the big jump IMO - go for it Evel

    Desmond Tutu

Found this article about the Archbishop: http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&cl...63139116C303910 It isn't too serious yet, but certainly worth a watching brief over the next few months. DWB

    F.W. De Klerk

Former South African President, F.W. De Klerk is in hospital. The 70 year old has a history of being a heavy smoker and drinker and is suffering from colon cancer. His condition had worsened on Wednesday, after having surgery, but he is now in a stable condition. He is definitely one to keep an eye on. South Africa's De Klerk stable after operation for colon cancer

    Andy Williams

I have just been reading about Andy Williams and thought I'd see if we had any info on him. He doesn't seem to have a thread yet but I noticed Windsor had him as one of his picks in his footer so I suppose his health issues are already well-known. According to his Wiki page, which cites Fox News, "On Friday, November 4, 2011, it was reported in the press that Williams has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He is undergoing chemotherapy treatments in Houston and will then move with his wife to a rented home in Malibu, California to be closer to cancer specialists in the Los Angeles area." Any news since then? What is the survival rate for bladder cancer?

    Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters has announced that she will retire from her daytime talkshow, 'The View' on May 16. She will be 85 in September. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/04/07/barbara-walters-retirement-date/ Who knows what she'll be up to after that...

    Jimmy Savile

Any news on Jimmy Saville's well-being? A possible contender for the 2005 list perchance? He'd be getting a bit snaggle-toothed by now.
  17. Death Watch Beatle

    Stan Lee

Just watched the Fantastic 4 on DVD - not a bad film as superhero live action goes. Stan Lee does his usual cameo as a postman this time. Hell, this guy is 84 and looks in better shape than people 20 years younger, so no reason to stick him on the list, but it does give an excuse to run a thread on comics and comic heros. I had a sizeable collection of American Spiderman, Batman, Superman et al stuff, but when I hit my teens only 2000AD did it for me. Any thoughts? DWB

    Peter Tobin

With the news of Peter Tobin being once again in very miserable conditions and the fact equally despicable Peter Sutcliffe scored for the DL, here's a thread to discuss Scotland's worst serial killer.
  20. Vinegar Tits

    Wilko Johnson

Apparently the print edition of the Southend Echo is reporting Canvey Island's finest Wilko Johnson has terminal cancer and is refusing chemo. He did have to cancel a hometown gig back in November last year due to being taken into hospital but that's the latest on the SE website at the moment. A statement should be on Wilko's website shortly. Really sad news, but obviously one to watch depending on what sort of cancer it is.

    Watts up Doc?

Charlie Watts, Rolling Stones drummer, apparently receiving treatment for lung cancer... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/3566160.stm Doesnt sound too serious but maybe one to keep an eye on.

    Sinisa Mihajlovic

Probably no point sitting on this pick so let's push it towards the 2020 Drop 40. One of the best footballers of the 1990s and one of the best managers in the current game, Sinisa Mihajlovic, has stepped down from his job as Bologna boss with immediate effect after being diagnosed with a "serious illness". Italian news suggests it's a severe form of leukaemia. Igor Stimac has not yet issued a statement.

    James Garner

James Garner, a veteran actor, has been hospitalized after what is described to be a 'minor' stroke. Didn't Aaron Spelling also have a minor stroke? This post kicks off the very home of all further hospitalizations to be reported on www.deathlist.net.

    Bob Moog

Bob Moog apparently has an inoperable brain tumor. The man is a genius, and I for one am sorry to hear this news. (Buy the Bob Moog Doll!)
