    Sir Frank Williams

His wheezing of late has been more pronounced. Either he's making some underhand statement about the continued need for tobacco money in F1 or his remarkable resiliance in the face of neck-down paralysis is finally melting. I remember a medically minded friend commenting when quadraplegic Curtis Mayfield made his last album that it'd better be good cos there wouldn't be another. Would those with more medical knowledge than me care to comment on long term survival for those injured to this extent?

    Slobodan Milosevic

On trial for war crimes, but claims to be in ill health...sounds like a ploy to me, especially as he's only 62, but you never know. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/3865573.stm

    Clarissa Eden

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarissa_Eden Noticed there wasn't a thread for Clarissa Eden, the widow of Former UK Prime Minister Anthony Eden who was forced out of office in the 1950s over the controversial Suez Crisis. Now aged 96,I feel she is worthy of her own thread so here it is!

    Helen Reddy

Its recently come to the attention of deathpoolers everywhere that Helen Reddy resides in a nursing home. It was announced that she had dementia back in 2015. With these revelations I think she is Reddy for a thread on the death list.
  5. Death Star

    Kirk Douglas

This thread is the place to discuss Kirk Douglas.

    Walter Smith

Rumours on social media in the past few days that he was in a bad way and now Rangers have confirmed that he has had an operation and that the family ‘have requested privacy at this time’. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56388907

    Abdul Qadeer Khan

Abdul Qadeer Khan, the Pakistani atomics expert, has prostate cancer. It is one of the more helpable forms of cancer, and supposedly he's getting the best medical treatment, but it's one to keep an eye on in the "Names" thread anyhow.
  9. Grim Reaper

    Jimmy Greaves

    The Jimmy Greaves thread.

    Abdelaziz Bouteflika

I predict that he will die and that many will be surprised. Glad to see he's on thee list

    Norm MacDonald

Maybe a thread only I'll post in but fuck it. As stated before on here, one of the funniest men of the past 50 years, Norm MacDonald, is a xans-addled gambling addict prone to breakdowns every time one of his projects gets cancelled early (which is every one of them). And now there's a lot of speculation he is seriously ill. This recent tweet of him plugging some gambling site on Twitter was responded to with endless gifs of zombies and Michael Jackson in" Thriller". This is what he looked like just three years ago:

    The Valery Giscard d'Estaing thread.

    Sarah Harding

Girls Aloud star reveals she has secondary Breast Cancer at age of 36. Horrible Horrible news. Considering it has spread I feel she warrants her own thread.

    Mikis Theodorakis

96 today. He is reportedly in frail condition. https://www.facebook.com/MikisTheodorakisMikesTheodorakes/posts/365859268244497

    Donald Rumsfeld

Yeah, he`s 73 - which I know is comparatively young by the standards of this site - but to be honest, don`t we all want him to die an excruciating death, i.e. being eaten alive by ants over a period of a week while chained to a tree and having his eyes gouged out ?? Or is this just wishful thinking ?? cheers, the authority.

    John Hume

Ok, someone who doesn't have their own thread and should, not only on notability but also on health. John Hume, Nobel Prize winner, was a leading Northern Irish politician (leader of the SDLP) and a key figure in the Good Friday Peace Agreement. He is also seriously ill now, having been diagnosed with dementia a number of years ago. He was able to get out and about to funerals and the like as recently as 2 years ago, but the first public seeds of his health really going downhill appeared when his wife had to make a statement on the death of Martin McGuinness earlier this year instead. Now, he is unable to attend screenings of films in his own honour. One to watch intently, and with a good deal of name relevance for updates, I give you this thread for 2 reasons. 1. He is an exceptionally Deathlist worthy name, and one whose health should be watched. And politicos/journos give a steady update on him being "badly ill", "if only he could see X" etc etc. 2. I stumble across health updates on him at least six times a year, and lose track of where to place them because updates on the man are in about 10 different threads now. So he gets his own. ...I'm going too guess there's a Peter Falk joke in 5...

    Gene Wilder

Saw him tipped on the possibles for 2007 list. I thought he was beating cancer. Anyone know any more?

    George A. Romero

I did a search, & couldn't find a thread about him, so I figured that I'd start one. It's weird, cause I thought that I had already started a thread, about him, a year or so ago. :/ I guess I was wrong.

    Clive Dunn

Clive Dunn must deserve some sort of honour. He appeared as no1 in the 1987 list, and is still in there at 50 in this years list. Perhaps he is only hanging on for spite, in the hope that he drops off next year - and then can drop off for good.
  21. Prophet

    Gerd Müller

As one of the most famous german football players I think he deserves his own thread. He suffers from Alzheimer for nearly 10 years and lives in a care home.

    Kenneth Kaunda

Being a little prescient and considering the love of DL for old African bad guys (Hastings Banda, Bobby Mugs, Daniel arap Moi) I think Kenny's inclusion on next year's list is quite likely if he makes it. President of Zambia since its independence for 27 years, and the last recognizable "founding father/tyrant" of an African Country (Sam Nujoma apart), he has been suffering from ill health at least since 2016, when he was mistakenly reported as dead. Anyway here we are four years later; all the African dictators born in 1924 have been wiped out except for Kenny. Last week he got nominated for Nobel Prize for Peace and today he expresses his condolences for his "dear friend" Moi. Health updates quite regular and birthdays always celebrated, so thread won't be empty till death, I think.

    Walter Mondale

On Friday, former Democratic Vice President and 1984 Presidential Candidate Walter Mondale of Minnesota will turn 90 years old. Certainly deathlisty, considering Former VP's Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, and Dick Cheney have all made appearances on the deathlist. Mondale, along with President Jimmy Carter are the oldest remaining President and Vice Presidential duo. There's also a recent update about the Former Vice President. At around the 42 second mark and in the thumbnail you can see Vice President Mondale who escorted newly seated Senator Tina Smith to her swearing-in. Has gotten frailer over the years but is on his feet looks healthy for an 89-year-old widower.

    Mike Gravel

The legendary Mike Gravel is 90 today, and I feel he’s very worthy of his own thread. It was him who put the pentagon papers in the Congressional Record, and he also ran for president twice, trying to push people more to the left of him. Now he has set up the Gravel institute to continue his legacy. Here’s hoping he lasts for a long time...
