    1989 Ray Moore

I do like the offbeat style of this website - and I'm sure that Ray would too! However; dear Ray Moore was only 47 yrs of age when he died - not 55 ! He was a true professional in the world of broadcasting and perhaps the nicest man anyone could hope to meet! I hope your admin. will correct this error. Best regards jw

    Anna Nicole Smith!

BREAKING NEWS: Anna Nicole Smith is dead! You heard it here first. Actually I saw it on the BBC site first, before I saw it on here Anna Nicole Smith dead, for god sakes. She was the fat bitch who lost all the weight, her son died in September. I don't think this has been officially announced. I'm shocked. From various reports she is officially pronounced dead. Wikipedia is reporting it before the BBC. Someone got in there quick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_nichole_smith cnn link : Anna Nicole Smith I was actually watching a interview with her a couple months ago and she was out there. Talking about Marilyn Monroe's ghost in her house and she talked so slow and everything, it was weird. She must have been doing heroin or something. Did she ever she the billionaires money? Hope not, some people just don't deserve fame. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6344725.stm

This guy has been around for almost 87 years (will be 87 in February). Is there anyone who knows how his health is doing? Since Wikipedia doesn't have any word on his health, he must be doing fine for the moment. He should be on the list for '08.

    Will Ill Kill Phil Hill?

I know this fellow is covered in the motor racing thread, but in all fairness, the man deserves a thread of his own - he is, after all a World Champion in a sport that has a large worldwide audience. Phil was doing quite well, until a recent downturn and is now a shadow of the man he used to be. The problems with getting about that he now as is akin to Pinter's current state. Son Derek has quit racing himself to help Phil get about. The latest news with Phil was that he was at a dinner to celebrate the racing career of friend Chuck Daigh this weekend, so he's still getting around & about. But it might well be worth reading this article;- 1) It gives an excellent statement of his current health 2) It gives an excellent background into who exactly Phil Hill is. I appreciate many have named teams already for 2007 and the DL has candidates locked for next year, likewise, but this is no worse a candidate for 2008, then say, Jimmy Savile or Bruce Forsyth, I guess... perhaps more so. Admin/Mods, hope you understand why I've set up a separate thread and please feel free to move any posts from the motor racing thread into this one - especially the photos. The article, by the way, is here. Phil Hill remembers Monza and don't say that I don't give you any motor racing insider tips..... (at least, MIB, it isn't an African leader )

    Erich Priebke

how about having a real nazi in the list? from wikipedia i found out that there are only 2 major nazies known to be alive and a few others believed to be. my favorite pick would be: Aribert Heim (born June 28, 1914) is a former Austrian doctor. As an SS doctor in a concentration camp in Mauthausen (where many Spanish Republicans were sent), he is accused of killing many inmates with sadistic methods, such as direct injections of toxic compounds into the hearts of his victims without painkillers. he was nicknamed doktor tod "doctor death" and i think he probably most of all deserves an appearance in your list but as that is going to be quite hard to verify it would be a risky pick. he was believed to be dead but then he was seen in spain when an cold german bank account of his, with lots of money on it, was used again then after just missing him in spain they they have chased him arround claimed they again nearly caught him in chile where one of this daugther seems to be living and now he is suspected to be in denmark or something. there is a large manhunt going on called operation last chance initiated by the simon wiesenthal center, but who knows if he dies before he is caught who is ever going to know? so again i think that it would be a very risky (but so much fun pick) as the chance of him dying and beeing noticed is far smaller than just dying http://en.wikipedia....ki/Aribert_Heim http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,13...1827007,00.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/secondworldwar/s...1593885,00.html http://english.ohmynews.com/articleview/ar...06&rel_no=1 http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/no2-nazi-...8796751320.html http://www.polizei-b...hndung_heim.htm so if it turns out that you don't want to include doctor death i want to propose the two surely living ones: Erich Priebke (born July 29, 1913 at Hennigsdorf, Brandenburg, Germany) is a Nazi war criminal. A former Hauptsturmführer in the S.S., he participated in the massacre at the Ardeatine caves in Rome, on March 24, 1944. 335 Italian civilians were killed there as revenge after a partisan group had killed 33 German soldiers and an unknown number of civilians. Priebke was one of those who stood responsible for this mass execution. After the Nazis were defeated, he got help from ODESSA to flee to Argentina where he lived for over 50 years. Søren Kam (b. November 11, 1921) was a German Waffen-SS officer, an SS-foreign volunteer, who served with the 5.SS-Panzergrenadier-Division Wiking during World War II. He is a Knight's Cross winner. On September 21, 2006 the 85-year-old ex-member of the SS was detained in Kempten, Bavaria in accordance with European arrest warrant issued by Denmark. Kam is wanted in his native country in connection with the assassination of newspaper editor Carl Henrik Clemmensen in Lyngby, a suburb of Copenhagen during World War II.

    Roy Castle

What does everyone think about the idea that the late performer Roy Castle contracted lung cancer through passive smoking? Did he really suck that much in through his trumpet, or was it something to do with tap dancing in working mens clubs in the 50s/60s/70s?
