    Sydney Pollack

After being active in the film industry for over forty years as an 'actor' 'producer' and 'director' various rumors tell us that he might have terminal cancer. Pollack definitely meets the fame requirements and after most recently appearing in 'Entorage' 'The Soprano's' and for films 'The Interpreter' he has vanished from the spot light and I think he fits the criteria of a prime candidate. Anybody agree or disagree? We need take on this.

    Tessa Jowell

Thought I would create a thread for Tessa Jowell in the hope of helping her secure a place on next year`s list.Dame Tessa Jowell is a Member of the British House of Lords who spent 23 years in the House of Commons and served in the Cabinets of two Labour Prime Ministers (Blair and Brown) and even tried to run for mayor last year. She was knighted by the Queen in 2012.She has been in the political mainstream for over a quater of a century now and is (or was until recently) a regular panelist on Question Time and other Political programs. She revealed on her 70th Biirthday on September 17th (Or rather her daughter in law did ) that she had been diagnosed with brain cancer in May.The head of the brain tumor charity let slip that it was a "high grade brain tumour" making the chances of recovery pretty low. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41302021 Here is Dame Tessa receiving a warm welcome back to the House of Lords 9 days ago.

  16. Death Watch Beatle

    Ralph Stanley

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/4630347.stm I post this as a new thread for two reasons: 1 - If he gets a page on the BBC website when he has an operation, I'm pretty sure he will get an obit. when he has a funeral. 2 - I don't know who he is. So, the DeathList being a great place of learning, I will wait and see if anyone posts some interesting facts about our man. The BBC page gives a brief overview, but does anybody actually listen to his stuff? DWB http://www.deathlist.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/dry.png

    Bruce Forsyth

Hiya, sorry if I'm posting the blatently obvious or am doing something foolishly wrong but this is my first post. I love him to bits and I'm happy he's not snuffed it yet, but surely Brucie is a red hot favourite to peg it soon? How old is he? In his 80s by now surely?

  25. Thought it was time for a thread for the L`Oreal heiress and richest woman in the world Lilianne Bettencourt. Now 94 and has had Alzheimer's since 2006 and was put under a conservatorship in 2011.Not been heard of since which is unsurprising given her bad health.A good candidate for 2018 if she lasts that long I would think.
