She's been talked about on a few other threads but hasn't got one for herself (until now) Happy 92nd birthday to Winnie Ewing, Madame Ecosse, is a trailblazer whose ambition and achievements have inspired the Scottish independence movement for decades, ever since she made history winning the 1967 Hamilton by-election.

Italian President 2006-2015 and Senator for Life, Giorgio Napolitano (b. 1925) Frail after an aorta surgery in 2018, the popular pool pick and kingmaker in Italian politics will be 96 next month. His political career started in 1944, joined the Communist Party in 1945 and elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1953. After he became the President of Italy in 2006 at the age of 80, he turned the role of the President of Italy from a ceremonial role to a very influential one. He was re-elected in 2013 at the age of 87 but resigned in 2015 at the age of 89. After that he has focused on growing more spots on the top of his head. Which one will go first, Napolitano or Berlusconi?

Well known for portraying Nyota Uhura in Star Trek, as well as being asked by MLK himself to stay on the show when she considered quitting. She was also Dorinda in Truck Turner. Suffered a stroke in 2015 and has dementia. Possibly a good pick for 2022, considering she's 88. Nichelle Nichols - Wikipedia

Thread for discussion about Martti Ahtisaari, former Finnish president (1994-2000), peace negotiator and global elder emeritus. Ahtisaari is overweight and recently survived COVID-19. He or his wife Eeva have not been seen in public much since that. He's one of the five global elder emeriti along with Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu, Fernando Cardoso and Ela Bhatt.

I feel this crowdsourced list regular suffering from dementia longer than anyone else notable deserves her own thread.
-
As he made the Crowdsourced List I believe he should now have a thread.

Surprising to see that he doesn't already have a thread of his own so here is the Lionel Blair thread. Lionel turns 92 next Saturday so I think he def deserves a thread

Why, you ask? Well, I‘ve been researching into Maranne’s precise date of birth. If anyone’s interested I can keep you updated on what I find, now on Maranne’s own thread. Apart from that, Maranne will be 95 sometime next year and is famous in the UK for Pink Panther films, Fawlty Towers, Darling Lili, Doctor Who etc. He is also my favourite living actor and I think he really deserves his very own thread. Such a great actor and his mysterious date of birth may continue to prompt interesting discussion. Furthermore, Toby Hadoke said in April 2020, Maranne cannot remember being in Doctor Who. Dementia maybe? Apologies for all this waffle, but I wanted to explain why I started a specific thread for Maranne. I felt I may have too much information on him for his related threads like the James Bond one (he only appeared in Thunderball for a few seconds by the way) which are not specifically designed just for news on Maranne and as I anticipate he’ll be on the 2021 DL, he would have his own thread soon anyway. I have made lots of 2021 DL suggestions but I ask for Maranne over any of my other suggestions, please DeathList committee. This legend should not be a DL miss. In future, I will try not to make new threads unless they are absolutely necessary, this one was just important to me.

I am aware of the British Character Actors thread but I thought it was time to set Ackland up with his own thread. He was born in 1928, so he may be one to keep an eye on. Possibly one for the 2021 DL.

I thought it was time to include a forum for 80 year old Yaphet Kotto, following the many recent deaths of actors involved in the James Bond franchise. I think Kotto should make his inaugural DL appearance in 2021.

I thought it was about time for Last of The Summer Wine actor Robert Fyfe to receive his own forum. Many sources indicate Fyfe will be turning 96 next year but there seems to be some dispute over his year of birth. Nevertheless, I would suggest Fyfe for the 2021 DL. As Juliette Kaplan and Jean Fergusson both got BBC obits, I would expect Fyfe to get one too.
